**Draco**

Where was she going? Filthy mudblood. What an annoying little brat. First she gets me in trouble with Snape, and now she's stalking me around all of Hogwarts? Must be a mudblood thing, following pure-bloods. I can't believe she's leaving again.

"I wonder who she's following now," Goyle said.

"Probably another mudblood, filthy scum sticks together!" replied Crabbe with an uproar of laughter.

"Draco, what did she say to you before?" questioned Pansy.

Pansy was Draco's girlfriend. She had a mean streak, and her infatuation with Draco was obsessive. He could never get away from her for too long, and it was almost easier to just let her preoccupation exist rather than cut it off.

"Oh, uhh, nothing. I just ignored her," I said as they interrupted my thoughts.

Ella gave me a look that wasn't exactly a glare, but a look of pity towards my situation as she left the Great Hall. I knew she was smart, actually, stunningly brilliant, but did she know what I was? Did she know that I was helping the Dark Lord? No, she couldn't. If she did she'd be afraid of me, and stay away, Potter's her friend right?

"Are you okay?" Pansy asked, staring at me concerningly.

"Yes I'm fine," I said, giving them dirty looks. I got up from the Slytherin table and grabbed my bags. I walked to the Slytherin common room where a few wizards sat playing chess and talking. I moved to the bedroom, and began to work on my homework. I couldn't concentrate, I couldn't work. I could only think about what I needed to do to keep Mason away from me, and my duties for the Dark Lord.

**Ella**

I had finished all but my Defense Against the Dark Arts homework, saved my favorite for last. I was an O (Outstanding) student in that, and loved studying it. I may not have had trouble understanding the Dark Arts and how to defend myself from them, but what I didn't understand is why Malfoy was in the Astronomy tower. It worried me that he didn't immediately follow me down. I mean, what if he put something up there that could hurt someone? That thought just couldn't escape my mind. I decided I would confront him about it tomorrow or whenever I saw him next, like in detention. Since Astronomy didn't start for two more weeks, people were safe for a while, at least. My eyes grew weary, so on that note, I shut my off my light and closed my eyes and drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep.

I woke up the next morning well-rested and prepared for my day. It was seven, so I had two hours until class began. I shuffled to the bathroom with my things. I brushed my teeth with the tooth brush Hermione gave me from her muggle parents' dentist office. A hot shower washed away the remainder of the essence of the first day back at Hogwarts. I let the scorching water envelope me and my thoughts. Even though this was the start of my sixth year, there was still plenty to be nervous about. I, after who knows how long, turned off the water and dressed in my uniform. It was a change to go from wearing muggle clothes all summer to wearing a uniform and robes. We were permitted to wear muggle clothes on our free days, but given the rarity of those many chose to simply just wear uniforms. My thick, curly, silky, light brown hair held water like a sponge, and most days was more work than it was worth. I firmly squeezed the water out of my hair, applied product, and crossed my fingers and hoped for the best as I stood in front of the mirror. I applied a minor amount of mascara, gathered my stuff, and headed back to the common room, after greeting the fat lady with a 'morning'.

"Woah, hot date tonight Ella?" Ron said, as his older brothers whistled in unison.

I rolled my eyes and smiled. Every year that we returned to Hogwarts it seemed as if we all grew up more during the short summer breaks than we did during the majority of the year we spent together. Although not quite adults, we were certainly on our way. We had all changed so much since we first started at Hogwarts as eleven year-olds.

"A hot date with my potions book," I teased, smiling.

I knew Hermione and Ron liked each other, even though they wouldn't ever admit it. Ron was like a brother to me, and so were Fred and George. I loved spending the holidays with them as I did last year. My parents had been busy with my cousin Augusta's wedding.

Harry and I were a different story. Harry had a modest crush on me since our first year at Hogwarts, but our friendship was valued more than a relationship like that. Harry is an amazing guy, but after spending time with the Weasley family, it was evident that there was someone else who was way more right for him than I ever could be.

"Ella, you look pretty today," said Seamus Finnigan, as he looked down at his feet after he said it, blushing.

"Thanks Seamus," I said, giving him a smile, which he returned to me.

I sat down next to Hermione, squeezing in the little open spot next to her.

"You're up early," she said, teasing me."

"Well, if I didn't get up when I woke up I wouldn't get up until lunch," I said with a giggle. "Hey, I have to go ask a question about the Potions homework, see you at breakfast?"

"Yeah, I'll see you then," Hermione said.

I grabbed my bag and headed to the dungeons, where Potions was taught. I didn't really have a question, I just wanted some answers.

Snape's classroom door was open a crack. I could hear two people arguing in the room. I held my breath as I listened closely to the conversation, before sneaking around the corner and peering around the door. Snape and Malfoy.

"How do you expect me to do that! I can't!" Malfoy was yelling at Snape.

"But you will, and that's the end of it!" Snape yelled back, getting in Malfoy's face.

Malfoy gave him his famous glare and stormed towards the door. Where I was listening.

Sorry that was kinda short, the next one will be longerrr! Comment and vote plz!
