**Draco**
The Irish boy got up from the Gryffindor table and just walked out.
"Hey Draco, look," Crabbe said, pointing him out.
"Yeah I see him," I said as I watched him storm out of the Great Hall/
"Second class Brit, that was a good one," he continued, as him and Goyle broke out in an uproar of laughter.
"And mudblood is following him, ha!" Goyle retorted.
Why was she following him? Pansy grabbed my knee. "Wanna get out of here Draco?" She said, coming on a little too...desperate.
"No, I have to take care of something," I replied, as I narrowly escaped the situation. Pansy pouted as I walked away. At times she was too childish to be seen with me, too annoying. I needed a real person, not someone who was always putting on some act for attention. She was too needy.
I plowed through the doors of the Great Hall and up the stairs, where I presumed they had gone. Where were they going?
"Hey, wait up!"
Ella. I looked up. She was almost up to him. I climbed the remaining stairs and hunched down, so they couldn't see me.
"Ella, just go back to lunch, please," The Irish kid said to her. What was his problem? What was he going to do, sit in a corner and cry?
"Why would I do that? Remember, always there for each other."
I could barely make out what they were saying, so I peered over the ledge.
"But-"
"No buts, just listen for a second. Malfoy is stupid, he doesn't know what he's talking about, you're an amazing guy, you're loyal, kind, and he's nothing compared to you,"
I'm nothing? How could she think that? My grades are outstanding, I come from a powerful family with money, and I'm an asset of the Dark Lord's army. That's not nothing.
He leaned in and kissed her. Ew. I don't think there's anything as bad as a second class Brit and a mudblood together. Especially when she can do better. A lot better.
He glanced in my direction. "Harry? What are you doing?" I looked behind me. There was Harry Potter himself, staring, mouth open at them, stuttering.
"I-I-I had to get my uh-bag, yeah my bag," he said walking swiftly up the stairs into the Gryffindor room.
They exchanged looks, "Harry, did you follow us?" she asked him, grabbing his arm.
Now was my time to get away. I bolted down the stairs, heading back towards the Great Hall. By the time I was at the 2nd floor, I slowed to a swift walk. I glanced around. Phew, no one had seen me. The Great Hall had the Slytherin table arranged farthest from the Gryffindor's, with Hufflepuff next to Gryffindor, and Slytherin next to Ravenclaw. I took a deep breath and re-entered the Great Hall. I resumed my seat and cleared my throat.
"Are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost." Pansy said as she put her arm around me and scooted close, "Do you wanna go somewhere and talk about it?" she continued, trying to be flirty. She was just being annoying. She wouldn't do anything unless it was to gain some sort of approval or praise from me, like a mutt. Sometimes I couldn't stand her.
"No, I'm fine." I said, pushing her off of me.
"Hmmph." she pouted. Why was I even dating her?
Ella and the Irish guy walked back in. What was his name-Sean? Samuel? Shamus? I don't know. They were holding hands. A few moments later, Potter walked in, head down, looking flustered. That's what you get when you don't take chances, Potter. I couldn't help smiling to myself. At least she'd done better than that.
