"Okay so why the nickname?" Nate asked as we all sat in a booth with pizzas and soda cans.
"Hmm?" Nick looked up from his pizza.
"You call her Bella, why?" Nate asked, pointing to me.
Em added, "Yeah. this is something even I wanna know." Then she turned to me, "We were talking about this in the car too."
I raised an eyebrow, amused, "You two were discussing what Nick calls me after Nate asked you out on a date?" I pointed to each as I said so.
"Yeah." Em shrugged and sipped her drink.
"What kind of a relationship do you have?" I asked, smirking.
"Ladies. Ladies. We're diverting from the topic." Nate intervened. He then pointed his pizza to Nick and continued, "You. Answer. Why do you call her Bella? Or love for that matter?"
"Because it's her name." Nick shrugged.
"Actually my name is Victoria." I narrowed my eyes playfully at him. "Or did you forget that?"
He rolled his blue orbs, "Love, your name's Victoria Isabelle Parker. I know that."
"Then why don't you call her Victoria or Vic or even Tori like everyone else?" Emily asked as she leaned on her elbows.
"You answered that yourself." He said, then elaborated when we shot him a confused look. "Cause you all already do that. I mean her original name's Victoria. Then all her friends call her Vic and family members call her Tori. There's no originality." He shrugged as if it weren't a big deal.
"But why?" Nate whined.
"Oh for god's sake, I'll call her something else, okay?" Nick threw his hands up.
"Yeah, you could try out other nicknames." Em suggested.
"Is no one going to ask me? I mean it is my name." I raised an eyebrow, thoroughly amused with the conversation.
"No." All the three of them chorused and I raised my hands in surrender.
"Hey." I greeted as I sat down next to Nick in AP Mathematics.
"Hello pet." he smirked.
"Nope. Nuh-uh." I shook my head. After the whole discussion, Nick has been trying to find a new name for me. So far we had gone through Issy, Iz, bae, babe, baby and multiple others. I have been turning each one down. Some names, he would call and then grimace himself realising the absurdity of it.
"Yeah I agree. Doesn't suit you." He grinned, shaking his head too.
I looked to the front and noticed a different teacher sitting. "Where's the teacher?" I asked Nick.
"On leave apparently. It is a free period and I would like to settle a name for you." he replied.
I raised an eyebrow at him.
