The crowd are slowly gathered. From our side bleachers, I can clearly see the homecourt advantage. We've got quite a number of supporters.

"We should really thank Chaeyoung for bringing us this crowd." One of my teammates said.

"Me?" I pointed myself. "I have nothing to do with that supporters we have. I just know a few."

Dahyun and the gang are already up there.

Our captain chuckled. "You should be the captain next year. You're already popular eventhough you're just a first year. Well, you made it to the top and became a starter, skill-wise, you deserve the spot."

Our captain is already on her third year. She cannot join the team next year for a personal reason.

But me? Popular? That's impossible!

"Looks like the popular first year is oblivious by her own popularity. Want us to prove that those people are your fans?"

After asking that question, they throw the ball at me. I effortlessly catched it eventhough it's thrown without warning. "Go ahead and pass by me." My teammate said and pose a deffensive position.

I do not kow how does that prove the popularity that they are talking about but I just dribbled the ball as I used to. I easily made a crossover and shot the ball right into the basket.

A deafening scream echoed the entire gymnasium. It comes from the bleachers on our side. I was shocked that they are shouting my name but the banners with my face plastered on it shocks me the most.

I cannot handle the fact that my face is all over the bleachers. The hell!

My teammates laughed at my reaction. "See? Those are your fans future captain."

I faceplamed. Why am I not informed about this? I looked at my friends and they looked shocked as well. Well, atleast I am not the only one whose on the dark side.

As I scanned the crowd, a familiar face catched my attention. She's on the left topmost corner talking with another girl.

Our conversation yesterday flashed in my mind. She turned her head and our eyes met. She smiled at me and mouthed "goodluck".

I do not know but somehow, her, wishing me luck while watching my game gave an extra plus of energy. I feel like I could win this game with no sweat.

Am I...?

I could not finish the question on my mind because the whistle for 5 minute warm-up is already blown.

The game will be starting soon.

And just as I predicted, we won the game with a huge score difference.

"Hey Chae! What's with you? You haven't missed a single shot today. Are you that inspired with your fans cheering on you?"

My teammates laughed with what our captain asked me. They began teasing me while I just smiled inside.

"My hands are just in good condition captain."

"Well, please make your hands be on condition again for the preliminaries Chaeyoung."

Our coach joined the conversation handed me a bottle of water. I took it and bowed at him.

"Yes coach, will do."

He nodded and clapped his hands. "Go now and line up in front of our bleachers. Give thanks to your supporters."

"Yes coach!"
