"Where should we stay?"

Chae asked me after a long ride via motor boat that my head security prepared for us yesterday.

I am so worried about my son but my family have a personal security team and they assured me of his safety. Their safety.

All that's left for me to worry about is me and Chae who went to a secluded island that I don't know of myself.

We didn't have a concrete destination since everything happened really fast. The man who brought us here already left and me and Chae is just standing on this port wihout a single idea of where to go.

"I also do not know Soo. But we can ask around."

She nodded and we both walked our ways to talk to some locals.

"Excuse me." Chae approached a middle-aged woman who passed by together with her son, I think. "Do you know a place in which we could stay ma'am?"

The woman and her son looked at each other and nodded. She offered her hand to Chae for a shake. "I am Miranda, and I own a hostel near here. I happened to have a vacant room since the previous tenant just left 2 days ago. Would you like to come with us and check for yourselves?"

Me and Chae smiled at each other and nodded in agreement. We followed the two and reached in front of a small 2-storey building.

We went inside and the woman went to the reception area to get the key for the room. She handed it to her son. "This is Sook, my son. He will show you the way to the room." She said and smiled.

We bowed to her slightly and climbed upstairs following Sook.

He stopped in front of the room in the middle and opened it. "You can check inside first, just tell me if you will take it. I'll just wait outside."

We nodded. I smiled to him and he smiled back. I think he's on his teens, about 16 or 17.

"Thank you Sook-ah." I said.

"Ahemm."

Then I heard Chae's obvious cough. When I turned to look at her, she just glared at me and to the kid before entering the room first.

I smiled. I followed her inside.

I saw her checking the sink and the bathroom. Everything is neat and clean. The interior design is plain and everything are made of wood except for the floor. But it's neatly barnished. It's obviously old but well cared.

But there is just a single problem. The bed is too small for two people!

And I think Chae also realized the situation since we both looked at each other at the same time after looking at the bed.

"Let's find other-"

"We'll take it."

We talked at the same time but we have different decision.

"What?" I asked.

"We'll take it." She repeated.

"But the bed is too small for the two of us." I said, trying to explain the situation.

"I know." She simply replied. "But I am too tired to find another place. Besides, I like the owner. She seemed nice. And the room is also clean. This is already doable Mina. Let's take it."

She said and threw herself on the bed.

I just sighed. She's right. I am also tired from that long travel earlier, I desperately wanted to rest now.

"Fine." I said and moved towards the door to talk to the waiting Sook outside.

"Wait!" I heard her call then quickly went to me. "I'll go talk to him. You stay here." She said and went outside without waiting for my response.

How can she be that jealous to a teenage boy?

I smiled. Chae is utterly cute when she's acting like this.

----
I woke up at 6pm that same day. I didn't realize that I snoozed up and slept for 4 hours. When I look around, I couldn't find Chae.

I panicked and quickly jumped out bed. I was calling her name.

"Soo-ah! Hyung Soo-ah!" I yelled. I looked inside the bathroom but she's not there. My heart is beating so fast now. I am already teary-eyed when a panting Chae opened the door and ran towards me.

"Mina? What's wrong? What happened?" She asked when she came to me.

"Soo-ah!" I yelled and hugged her tightly.

She was startled but she hugged me back. She looked at me and wiped my tears.

"Hey, what's wrong? Did you have nightmares?"

I shook my head and just sobbed. I was so scared! Scared that Chae leaved me again like she did 5 years ago. Scared that Tzuyu's Dad located us and took Chae away.

"Ssshh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for leaving you alone. I won't do it again, I promise." She said and kissed my forehead to calm me down.

And I did. I was slowly calming down bit by bit while Chae is still hugging me.

"Uhhh.."

Someone from behind her just spoke. When I looked who, it was Sook. And he's holding a bucket with him. "I'm sorry to disturb but I have go now and prepare this Soo-noona." He said and smiled awkwardly at us.

My face heated when I realized that Sook saw how pathetic I was earlier. That was so embarassing.

"What was that?" I asked Chae pertaining to the bucket that Sook was holding.

"I went out fishing with him earlier while you were sleeping. He said that it would be best to catch some myself, for us. I mean, for you."

She answered and scratched her head. She's shy. And so do I.

But I am moved by the effort as well. No one has ever done that before. To catch a fish to feed me. Just for me.

"Thank you." I sincerely said.

She smiled. "You wanted to wash up first?" She asked and I nodded.

----
We just finished our dinner downstairs. This hostel doesn't have tables to dine inside the rooms. We are all encouraged to eat downstairs on a big rounded table together with the other tenants or guests.

I am now preparing my pajamas for bed while Chae is outside staring at the sea. When I finished changing, I came to her and stood beside her. We both stared at the vast sea together.

"Can you tell me now what's happening?" Chae suddenly asked without looking at me.

I know that she's been eager to ask me that question since yesterday, but I am so focused on securing our safety that she waited for the right time. And that time is now.

"I do not know how to say this, but Soo-ah. Someone's after your life. And he's your brother. Biological brother."
