I haven't seen Chae again since that night.

Aside from being busy with my work, she also didn't try to visit me at all. I kept on getting startled whenever someone opens or knocked the door, thinking that it might be her. But I always end up disappointed.

I wonder what did I do so wrong to make her so upset with me.

----

3 Days.

Three short days passed and still no shadow of Chaeyoung appeared in front of me. I tried visiting her on her room yesterday but it's locked. I wanted to applaud her carefulness this time, but thinking that she just locked it to avoid my visit, annoys me instead.

So for today, which is the day before her last day of staying here, I am more desperate to talk to her and ask why is she acting like this towards me.

"Ms. Mina?" I didn't notice my manager knocking and entered inside so I got a bit startled. But I managed to compose myself right away.

"Yes?"

"One of our guests wanted to see you Ma'am. It's from the Toy World Co.'s Marketing Department. They are now checking out and wanted to thank you personally."

"Okay. I'll be there." I said and saved the data first on my laptop before going out to the lobby.

After small talks and thank you's, the manager of that department left happily together with his team. He said that he'll pass a positive word about our resort to the other departments of their company and recommend us for their upcoming team vacations.

I was so happy about it and congratulated my staffs who happened to hear the conversation. Everyone clapped and exchanged smiles for that fulfilling achievement.

As I turned around and walked towards the direction of my office, I saw the person I desperately wanted to talk to, earlier. She's walking towards the concreted rooms opposite to where her room is located.

I was about to call her but my brows raised when I saw that she's not alone. She's talking to someone that is familiar to me.

'Isn't that person one of those people from that bonfire 4 days ago?'

I remembered that face intently staring at Chae the whole time she's talking that night.

So without thinking further, I followed them silently from behind. They were chatting while walking. Minutes later, they stopped in front of an occupied room and knocked.

I couldn't hear what they were talking about since I am hidden behind this coconut tree from quite some distance. But I can see that Chae is comfortable with her. They were talking and laughing like some old friends who finally met again after years.

I rolled my eyes.

"Ma'am?"

I got startled when someone suddenly spoke behind me. When I turned around, I saw that it's one of our security personnel.

"Ohh, sorry Ms. Mina, I thought that you're a guest and got lost."

I smiled awkwardly at him. "It's okay." I said while kept on checking behind me if Chae is looking in this direction.
I might get caught by her in this situation.

"But what are you doing here ma'am? Lost something? Do you want me to help?"

I know that he asked with a pure intention of helping but I dismissed him with the wave of my hand rudely. My employees aren't used of me acting like this, so he looked surprised with how I shoo him away. I just want him to leave me alone ASAP.

With confused face, he bowed to me and left while scratching his head. I touched my chest and let out a breathe of relief when he's finally far from me. That was close!

I returned onto hiding and took a peek again unto Chae's direction.

"What are you doing?"

I jumped in surprise when Chae's face greeted me when I peeked back. She's on the other side of the tree waiting for me already!

She moved from the other side and walked towards me. She leaned her face closer to mine. "You're following me?" She asked without a smile.

She just looked at me with this same smug face she wore, the last time we talked.

I moved my head back a little. "Yes." I answered firmly while staring straight to her eyes. It's useless to deny it since I got caught in the act.

"Why?"

"Because you're avoiding me." I answered without beating the bushes.

She got taken a back with that straight forward answer from me. She must have not expected it. She took one step back and put her hands on her pocket. She looked away.

"I am not." Then she started walking away.

I followed and continued to throw her questions. "Why are you avoiding me Hyung Soo-ssi?"

"Told you, I'm not." She answered, still denying.

"Yes you are. Why? Because I don't remember doing something to upset you that night. We just got reconciled earlier that day so I don't see why your acting like this towards me now."

Still got no response from her as she just kept on walking until we reached her room. She grabbed the keys from her pocket and opened it. She went inside after while leaving the door open, obviously for me.

'She wanted to talk inside? Fine.'

I did what she wanted me to do and went inside her room. There, I saw the portrait she's working with, beside her bed.

"It's already finished. You can take it now."

She said, referring to the portrait I am looking at. She's on her bed, sitting while scrolling something on her phone, in which I know for sure that it's nothing. Probably just doing it to show me that she's got no interest in talking to me any further.

And that annoys me.

So I sat on the other side of her bed and waited. I am not going anywhere until she talks to me.

Minutes later, I heard her sigh.

"Didn't know that you're this persistent, Mina." She said and put her phone down.

I shifted my body on her direction and looked at her. "Why?" I asked again.

"Fine. I am avoiding you, yes. But not because I'm mad or upset with you. I'm just...confused." Her expression tells me that she's troubled about something. She's telling the truth.

"About what?" I asked.

"About you." She answered and met my eyes. "I'm confused about my feelings for you Mina. You seemed so special to me, it's like I know you deep within me. Your smile is familiar. It gives me warmth. Your laugh, your eyes, nose and lips. Their all...fluttering my heart. Stirring up my feelings. And for some reason, that night when you introduced your son to me, I got hurt." She paused.

"Right here." She pointed her chest. "So I got scared. Because I don't exactly know how I feel for you Mina."

I was rendered speechless with how honest her answer is. I am happy knowing about her feelings for me.

But right at this moment, I don't really know what to say or do.
