"What?" I bluntly asked after Kolson strictly told me my skirt was too short.
It wasn't.
Okay maybe but it wasn't that short. He was over reacting. It was the most appropriate length for me to walk in easily and frankly, I have much shorter. I have a very good suspicion that he knows I had shorter. Skirts were always my thing, it's what I looked best in.
Today I went with a checkered white, brown, and black skirt and matching jacket. Inside the jacket, I wore a sleeveless brown turtle neck.

"You heard me. It's too short, Miss Kane. Either to dress with something more appropriate or leave. Your choice," he simply said. I leaned back on my chair, gripping the hand rest aggressively. "You've got to be kidding me," I mumbled below my breath.
"You're acting like I'm dressing like a stripper Kolson. I'm wearing a jacket," I deadpanned. His eyes shifted and he visibly froze momentarily. I felt it too, the way his name rolled off my tongue.
