"I'm not making a YouTube channel, Sage

"I'm not making a YouTube channel, Sage. We already allied about this," I sighed. She frowned and I thought for a second she dropped the topic until her eyes opened wide excitedly. "What if we make a collab one? Sage and Siya Adventures?" She rephrased and I blankly stared at her. "I have no problem making videos with you, on your account, whenever I'm free. I'm sorry to disappoint your fans but I won't be making a channel anytime in the future," I repeated and she huffed.

"You're never free. Business is opening up soon and you're going to be even busier. With Declan, your stuff, and Shaw Creations we'll barely have time to do anything," she mumbled with a frown. "Exactly. I can't manage a YouTube channel with that schedule," I flatly said. She was still disappointed and wanted to press more on it but thankfully, she dropped the topic.

We drove to work in silence, it wasn't as comfortable as I wanted it, I could tell Sage really wanted to make her fans happy by convincing me to have a channel. It wasn't for me. "Thanks for letting me borrow your car, it would be back by lunch," she mumbled and pulled over in front of the building.

"No worries, let me know when you're coming up," I said before getting out of the car even though Gloria would let me know anyways. "Bye!" She shouted as I walked into the building. I stole a cup of coffee from the kitchen and made my way to my office.

I took a minute to settle in and then got into work, finishing all the work I had to do. Today was the day I completed them completely. Anytime now Kolson should be sending more work for me. He should know I'd be done today. After four business calls and even after Sage paid me a visit to return my keys, he still didn't send anything so I decided to check on him.

I held my breath and crossed my fingers that Nessa wasn't in his office. Which was the only reason I could think of as to why he wasn't giving me work. To my surprise, she wasn't there and he was in fact behind his table, looking absolutely stressed while he typed away.

"Siya, good morning," he mumbled, only glancing me for a second. "Uh it's nearly twelve but good morning," I replied and he seemed shocked that it was almost twelve. "Time really does fly," he mumbled to himself. "Do you need my help with anything? You haven't sent anything all day," I pointed out upon my entrance. Kolson pitched the bridge of his nose and shut his eyes in tiredness. "I'm trying to get the perfect place to host the gala. I want somewhere new, somewhere fancy, something.... it's difficult to describe but I just want it perfect," he sighed out in annoyance.

So not the usual places we have them basically and something better. Where do we find something on such short notice? The hall in the hotel is the perfect place to hold a gala. It was made for parties, weddings, meetings, galas. Anything you wanted to be. But that would be too risky. Maybe I can still try, it would be great for business and who knows, maybe he'll turn it down.

"I...I think I know a place that you can um rent," I hesitated. Kolson looked at me amused and waited for me to go on. I'm so going to regret this. "The hotel we stayed last two nights has a grand hall. Very spacious, elegant and I'm sure it has everything you want. I can take you there to see it if you want," I rambled off the suggestion. He nodded his head, thinking to himself. "Why do you need to come? Can't I just contact the owner?" He surprised me by asking.

Play it cool Siya.

"I have a special access and the owner is out of the country," I lied smoothly. "Okay. Well I still need to speak to him in person," he said and I nodded. "He'd be back next week, sufficient time to check out the place and decide if you want to use it or not," I stated and he goes silent to overthink it all. Why am I so nervous? This is great that he's interested.

"How expensive would it be?" He questioned and I shrugged my shoulders. He'd be advertising the hotel so this is a win for both of us. Well, I get the greater profit since he's paying the money to rent the hall. "It depends. I can't say," I shrugged. He nodded his head and scribbled something down on the paper.

"Can I meet you there tomorrow after work?" He suggested and I mentally groaned. "I...After work? How about a couple of hours after that?" I changed. I need time with my son and I'll be at the hotel to finish up some plans before the grand opening. "That works. See you then," he mumbled and I took that as my cue to leave.

Wow, this is actually happening. When I make it back to my office I'm met with a message from Serena.

Serena:
I know it's a short notice, but how about we have that dinner today? The Claw?

The Claw was not that far from the office. I had one hour off so I could probably make it back in time. The couple minutes I had left ticked away and in no time I was making my way into the claw after parking my car in the car park.

It was a cute little modern seafood restaurant. She was already sitting at the furthest table when I arrived, towards to the window. "Hey," she smiled. "Hi, love the ring," I complimented. She blushed and pulled her hand away.

"It was a promise gift from Lucas, no idea why I still wear it," she mumbled and we both chose to ignore it. "How are you?" She politely asked. "I'm good. Tired but I'm getting through everything," I truthfully said.

"When was the last time you spoke to mom?" I asked her. She's been MIA and I've been a bad daughter for not calling first. "She's on an RV bus. No signal so," she shrugged. Right, that explains a lot. I forgot she and her husband was doing that.

"How's your dad?" She asked and I smiled. "He's fine. We visited him two days ago," I replied, remembering how excited Declan was to see him. "That's good. Anything with Kolson? I know you guys are working together..." she hesitated. "We're cooperating, like new people," I lied. Even though we tried, the past can never be forgotten.

"So how have you been in general? No hard feeling with the Alton thing, we weren't more than friends," I assured her and she shook her head. "You're lying. You have to be pissed that I told him about Declan," she corrected me and I nodded my head. "Yeah. That was wrong of you to do," I mumbled and she sadly smiled. "You can trust him si, he's a good guy...." she tries to convince me and I nod only.

"How about we just order food and stopped talking about our drama?" I changed topic and she happily agreed.

If anyone recognizes the restaurant 'The Claw' I love you
