Moonbyul POV
We end up going inside after my face goes back to normal and my red cheeks become their milky color again.
As we get in the practice room, Wheein holds my hand and squeezes it. “You got this”, she whispers.
I smile to her and squeeze back her hand, not letting go of it even after we're inside. The comfort and safety of having someone to hold on to is essential to me right now.
“Oh, you're back.” Hyejin says, getting up from her chair and coming to us. She looks at our hands. “I can't believe I leave my wife with you and you steal her right away. You're dangerous, Byulie.” She laughs and boops my nose, going back to her chair.
Yongsun looks at us right in the moment Hyejin makes the joke, and she doesn't look happy at all. I know that because her nostrils double the size when she's about to explode, and I never like that. She quickly turns away after that and proceeds on rehearsing, facing the mirror.
I walk to her side and face the mirror too, looking at the oldest through the reflection.
“What are you practicing?” I ask, starting to mumble random songs, followed by dance moves.
“Nothing.” She says, drily. “There isn't even any music playing.”
“I know. Just thought you could be playing the song in your head like you always do.” I giggle. “Yeba.”
She looks at me in a serious way. “Can we talk outside for a moment?”
I nod and glance at Wheein. She's talking to Hyejin and doesn't even notice us. Solar grabs me by the wrist and takes me outside, closing the door behind her.
“What’s up?” I ask, with my eyes wide open. I know this isn't gonna be good, because I can see the rage in her eyes.
“Don’t make this harder for me, Moonbyul.” She pins me to the wall and puts one arm on the side of my head.
I gasp. “W-what do you mean?”
My eyes don't leave hers and i swallow, waiting for the answer. Her eyes seem calmer now, but she has me between her body and the wall behind me.
“You make it all hard for my brain. You don't even understand.” She takes her arm off the wall. “I just wanted to fall in love and-”
“You will.” I interrupt. “Why are you giving up? You will end up falling in love with someone.”
She shakes her head and there's a sad expression on her face now.
“I did, Moon.” She puts a hand on my shoulder. “I fell in love already. And that's the problem.”
“What problem?” I ask.
“I fell in love with you and I'm not supposed to. I'm gonna ruin everything we have and you were supposed to stay with me forever.” She stumbles over her own words and a tear makes its way down her cheek.
“I will stay with you forever, no matter if you're my best friend or something else.” I say, wiping away her tear with my soft thumb. “Don’t be silly, Yong.”
The look she had when she began to talk changed completely. She's now in tears, her body seems weak and it's like she's gonna fall down and sob in any minute.
I sigh and open my arms to take her in for a hug. She slowly gives up and settles in my arms, placing her face on my shoulder and sniffling.
“I’m sorry I was being mean to you after the kiss thing.” She murmurs, still crying. “I was such a bitch.”
“You were.” I answer, stroking the back of her head. “But you didn't know what to do.”
She nods and sniffles. “I thought it was over for us.”
I smile and shake my head. “Something so good can never end, Yeba.”
