Yongsun POV
We make our way back to the practice room and my heart is now peaceful. What once was fear of losing Moon turned into joy and calm inside of me. She's okay. We're okay.
“Do you wanna hold my hand?” Byul suddenly says right before we open the door. She faces me with her dark brown eyes and smiles.
“Yeah, I think I wanna.” I smile back and hold her cold hand as we get in the room.
Wheein and Hyejin are sitting on the ground, playing a game.
“We were waiting for you so we could start” Wheein says, getting up and helping the youngest. “Can we practice now?”
I nod, assuming the leader role. “Leggo!”
The practice goes well. We play a lot, Byul, as usual, forgets about the moves, and Hyejin stops every five minutes to explain how tired she is. Just like that, two hours go by.
“Should we go again?” Wheein says, right before drinking some water.
I look around before answering. Byul is sitting on the ground, playing a game on her phone. Hyejin is still out of breath, standing in the corner.
“I think we should take a break.” I chuckle. “We all need it.”
Wheein agrees and I can see Hyejin celebrating, still trying not to fall down.
I sit down next to Moon.
“What are you playing?” I ask, peeking.
“Damn, you sounded just like my little cousin... if I had one.” She laughs.
I roll my eyes just to find her giving me her phone. “Try it, it's called Kart Rider.”
I take the phone and try to figure out the game controls. The younger laughs as I crash the kart along the way.
“Wow, you suck at it, Yongsun.” She giggles.
I put the phone on her hands and sigh. “Maybe you should take some time to actually teach me, instead of just giving me that.”
She nods while playing another round. She really is good at that, and her kart smoothly rides and makes all the drifts without crashing.
“You’re right. Can I come over tonight? I can teach you all the basics.”
I gasp. “W-why at my place, Byul? Don't you have your own house? I swear...”
Her shoulders move while she laughs, but she doesn't take her eyes off the screen.
“You keep inviting me over but act all shy when I invite myself. If you don't want me to go, just tell me.” She pouts.
“N-no. I want you to come over. I was just curious that you never invite me to your place.”
“We live in the same neighborhood, Yong. It doesn't matter and your house has always been cleaner.” She smiles as she wins the race.
“Yeah... I know.” I smile and get up, patting her on the head. “Don’t get addicted to that weird racing game. And be at my place around seven.”
She nods, but doesn't look. These kids are always on their phones nowadays.
