Yongsun POV
As I get inside the house, the smell of fresh vanilla invades my nostrils, and I take a deep breath. I look around at everything that I could've been forced to leave behind for good, and feel grateful that I'm able to be here again.
I stare at every crack in the white walls, every dirt stain on the floors. I look at the couch, the rug, the TV, and get reminded of the huge amount of good moments I've had since I moved. I smile and sigh.
“Time to start again.” I whisper to myself, walking into the kitchen and filling a glass with water.
“I guess it's better to start by changing old habits, right?”
I walk back to the living room and water the almost withered plants that decorate the space.
“First memo: do NOT let the plants die.” I giggle and plop down on the couch, turning on the TV, but quickly get interrupted by the phone ringing. It's Byul.
“Miss me already?” I pick up.
There's a long silence on the other side of the line.
“...Eh, not really? I just wanted to tell you there's no time for sitting down and watching some Netflix roman-”
I gasp.
“H-How do you know? Are you watching me?”
Byul giggles and I can hear voices on the background.
“Is she watching TV...? Did we get it right?”
“She is, isn't she? Oh.My.God I knew it.”
“You owe me 5 bucks, Lee, and a cup of coffee.”
“Byul...? Is that the staff on the background?” I can't believe it.
“Huh, yeah. They bet you'd be watching TV by now, so I gave you a call. We need to rehearsal, so take care of yourself and get your ass here, okay?”
I sigh and hang up, trying to avoid leaving the couch. Maybe if I just don't show up, they'll forgive me? I have literally just been kidnapped. God, isn't watching TV part of taking care of myself? I don't get it.
I can only leave the comfortable couch seven minutes later. I don't bother showering, so I just change clothes and leave with my stuff, getting mentally ready for the hard day ahead of me.
....
I knock on the door of the practice room, but get in before anyone answers. They probably started without me, because I could hear music while walking through the corridors.
“Look, it's the late one.” Hyejin looks at me and smiles.
“The late person has a name.” I answer and chuckle. “And I'm not even THAT late.”
“We warmed up and ate snacks before you came, so I'd say you're THAT late after all.” The youngest answers and walks up to me, patting my shoulder. “Either way, we should really get productive if we wanna have stuff ready for Wheeinie.”
I nod, putting my stuff down on a table. I can't wait to have her back with us.
