"Gaga ka! Sabi na hindi ka pa nakakamove on, eh. Halatang-halata." Lily rolled her eyes and threw a popcorn on my face. I laughed and sipped on my cola.

"Shut up. I'm watching."

Naabutan ko siya na natutulog sa couch pagpasok ko sa bahay. I was freaking nervous when I saw her, akala ko kung sino. Lalabas na sana ako para habulin yung sasakyan ni Jordi dahil sa takot buti nalang nagising naman siya. Naalala niya raw na may iniiwan akong spare key sa ilalim ng pot kaya ginamit niya.

I told her na nanggaling ako sa Tagaytay kasama si Jordi. She screamed so loud when I showed her our pictures. Gusto niya sanang lumabas kami pero since pagod na ako, we decided to watch movies nalang.

"Anong shut up? Tell me! I'm stressed na so tell me para naman mabawasan! Look oh, ang laki na ng eyebags ko." Sabi niya at nilapit ang mukha sakin para ipakita iyong eyebags niya.

"I told you he's courting me."

"Tanga. May nalaman pang ligaw-ligaw. You both like each other, that's enough reason. Mabait naman 'yong tao, you know that." Sabi niya saka kumain ng popcorn. "Tapos aalis ka na, paano siya manliligaw?"

"Alam ko naman." Sabi ko nalang.

"Secured na future niyo! Ang successful ng business niya, ah." She laughed.

"Future ka jan."

"Oh bakit? Mukha namang kayo na hanggang sa dulo, eh."

I pouted. Kinakabahan ako, paano kung hindi magwork? I've seen so many couples destroyed by the distance.

"Kinakabahan ka 'no?" She asked like she just read my mind. "You won't know if you won't try. Kung hindi mag work, edi okay. Atleast you tried, you won't be stuck with your what ifs."

"Daming alam."

"Alam ko namang mahal mo 'yong tao. For all those years you've been out of the country, I know how much you tried not to ask about him. Kung ilang beses mong tinry na kalimutan siya, but you just can't, despite the fact na baka kapag bumalik ka hindi na pwede, 'di ba?"

"But it's been 11 years and he still likes me? How?"

She rolled her eyes. "Anong how? Ikaw din naman ah. You should be able to answer that."

"Ako kasi, I really don't have much friends doon sa states, so syempre lilipad talaga lagi isip ko dito sa Pilipinas. I was stuck with the what if's kaya siguro hindi ako makapagmove forward."

"Sagutin mo na. Malapit ka nang bumalik sa states." She wiggled ber brows.

"You think so?" I asked the obvious. Siya na nga itong tumutulak saakin.

"Boba ka talaga! Paulit-ulit?" She laughed. "But it's still your choice. Nagsasuggest lang ako, baka kasi you're just waiting for a sign." She stuffed her mouth with popcorns and watched the movie.

I just stared at her and thought about what she said. Parang ang bilis naman kung sasagutin ko na agad siya, but she's actually right. We both like each other, that's the only thing that matters right? Or.. Not.

"Lily, you think it's gonna work?" I asked as I made myself comfortable beside her.

"Yeah. And if not, what's important is you tried." Nahiga rin siya sa tabi ko. "Atleast kapag ganoon--" She stopped when I suddenly hugged her.

"Thank you for always being by my side, kahit na wala ako noon para sayo on your darkest moments."

"I'm your best friend and I will always love you. To tell you the truth, I was hurt when you left. Bestfriend mo ako, eh." She chuckled. "Dapat may tiwala ka sa'kin, you should've told me... But then again, you're my bestfriend so I would understand."
