"That was quite a performance you put up down there," Tracey said, following me into my bedroom.

"You too, Brutus! You think I am at fault here?" I cried, hurt at her words.

"No babes, I am not saying its your fault. I know what you are going through," she said in a soothing voice, making me go from Hitler to Mother Teresa within seconds.

"You do, right? What am I supposed to do when these guys are hell bent on driving me crazy?" I uttered feeling grateful and looked for further confirmation from my best friend. "In any case, they are making an issue of nothing. It wasn't that bad now, was it?"

"Uhmm, probably not about that protein drink. But with the cat, it can get messy," Tracy replied honestly, in her usual way.

"Oh come on! You know it was a joke, a silly one! It wouldn't hurt to laugh sometimes," I replied defensively.

"I know it was a joke, because I know you. You can't expect the world to be as understanding. Especially those who make it their life mission to act as the biggest animal lovers online. Representatives from PETA are already on your story," she said looking through her mobile.

"What! PETA! Are you kidding me?" I said flicking open my insta page. It was flooded with all kinds of comments from every Tom, Dick & Harry. Not to forget the Kates, Emmas and Lizzys around the world. They were after my blood. And quick on their heels were the various kitties loving organizations, lead smartly by PETA.

I clearly had no clue what I was getting into when I decided to crack that poor joke about the cat. It quickly snowballed into something beyond rules of the sane world. Where were my fans when I needed them? It obviously looked as if the non-existence "cat" whom I had supposed to have killed, had far more fan following than me who had spent last five years entertaining them through my songs. Well, to be absolutely fair to them, my few fans were fighting it out but for my own stupidity it looked like a one sided battle.

I did go online after the disastrous morning, despite strong objection from my team, to present my side and mainly to help people move beyond this silly story but it only made the matters worst. In addition to being insensitive and callous, I was now also being called selfish and idiotic. A perfect definition of a female celebrity in every conceivable sense.

In one word, BITCH!

No one was interested in actually hearing to my side of story. They had their own reasoning and they were cool with their ridiculous imaginations as long as it was juicy and sensational. Beyond a point it started to seem useless to do anything about it and I decided to let it be.

I continued with my life as if it was all happening to someone else. I had picked up the art of acting and pretense quite well in my last one year of social media life but obviously it was not true. I was not showing the real damage to anyone but it was all building up in me with absolutely no relief.

My mother was furious, obviously. My father wanted me to come back immediately. None of it made any sense but then neither did anything else I said or did. It was just  growing and growing into something that was my beyond my comprehension or any possible action to turn it around.

Of course there was a huge show down with Riccardo which went miles way were worse than I had imagined. I thought he would be furious just like everyone else and probably would want to throw me off the Company or even better, just kill me. But what he said was something that will stay with me for life.

"Ash darling, you never seize to amaze me. Surprise, that's what you do. And that's what I like the most about you. You are truly one fucking diva. Of course no one recognizes that except me," Riccardo said as soon as I stepped inside his office.
