(A short chapter)

~Annas POV~

The next day Lily and I had potions together in the morning. She still wasn't herself and she still hasn't talked to Harry. So I thought I better talk to him myself. After class he was walking alone in the halls, I ran up to him.

"Hey, Can we talk?" I asked. We went to one of the nearest window ledges and sat down.

"I know what you're going to say. It's about the Yule ball and why I asked Cho and not Lily." I nodded. Maybe he wasn't that stupid.

"I didn't ask Lily because I was scared. I didn't know how close we were. I didn't know what she's think. And if she said no I didn't want it to ruin our friendship." I could see where he was coming from. I would've felt the same way if I was in his shoes.

"Oh. I see. Well I can tell you that she's disappointed that you didn't ask her." I got up and started walking away. I quickly turned around.

"Oh and Potter, don't tell her I told you." He smiled and I was on my way to my next class.
