A burning sensation licks up his throat and he tries to swallow it back. He doesn't know I'm causing him this pain and he tries to focus on the girl. His whole demeanour is inviting as he pulls her towards him, but I know he won't kiss her. I know the real reason he is alluring her.
Hunger like he's never felt before makes every pore in his body throb with interminable agony. It's building inside him and as he reaches out, I know what's coming. I have to stop it but I can't stop the inevitable. His hand is already on her forehead. His chest expands and I can do nothing as her eyes flutter open in confusion.
It's over quickly. Her gaze quickly fades and becomes hollow, resembling glass and her body goes limp in his arms. I'm too late and I can't help but feel the rise of emotion in my chest. It's enough to make me scream—but he doesn't hear me over his own growl of fury.
His chest heaves, sending puffs of hot breath into the cold air, and his muscles contract angrily as he lets the girl's now lifeless body slide down his front before stepping over her and striding out into the orange glow of the street.
