"Kaelin, what are you doing here?" Lydia asks.
"I came to check on my best friend." Kaelin shrugged, "Besides, we haven't hanged out in a while."
"I don't need a babysitter." Lydia snaps. Lydia would always be too stubborn to admit if something was going on. She felt comfortable around him.
"No, you don't. But, you need a friend." Kaelin says smiling. Lydia moves out of the way for her to come in. "So Chinese and The Notebook?" Kaelin held her phone up in offering.
"I'm not really in the mood." Lydia sighs. She sat down on the couch, and Kaelin sat down next to her, concerned for her friend and how she was acting.
"Then we can do whatever else you want to do," Kaelin nodded, pressing for her to talk about Aiden, she didn't know what his plan was, but she wasn't going to let him hurt Lydia.
"Lyd you know you can tell me anything. Right?" Kaelin assured her as Lydia had stayed silent.
"What would I have to tell you?" Lydia says confused.
"Stiles." She blurted out. Why not mention the scrawny, hilarious, sarcastic, smart kid that has had a crush on her forever?
"You mean Scott's best friend?" Lydia asks lifting an eyebrow.
"He's my other best friend," Kaelin adds.
"I have eyes on somebody else, so stop your matchmaking schemes," Lydia demands, glaring at her.
"I have no matchmaking schemes whatsoever," Kaelin said, lifting her hands up in defense. Lydia sent her a look, unconvinced. "Okay? Fine. I may have told Stiles about some things that you like, but that's all." Kaelin shrugged, hoping that Lydia wasn't unhappy with her.
Kaelin quickly changed the subject, hoping that whatever she had just said wouldn't have any lean toward Lydia, "Who is this guy you're interested in?"
"Oh, he's so hot." Lydia describes, "Oh my god. He has such a good jawline. He has a twin too."
"You're not talking about Aiden are you?" Kaelin asks, worriedly, staring up at the girl with caution.
"You know him?" Lydia asks.
"Yeah, I know the guy who got framed for attacking his brother," Kaelin told her. Aiden had already got into Lydia's head, but at least he was suspended.
"No one got framed. They did attack his brother." Lydia says confused.
"Isaac was framed," Kaelin sighed.
"Isaac?" Lydia asks. "Who's he?"
"Derek's beta. My mate. Ring a bell?" Kaelin shrugged.
"You have a mate?" Lydia says confused.
"It's uncomfortable, actually," she admitted.
"Is a mate like a boyfriend or something?" Lydia asks.
"Not important." I cut in, "Lydia Aiden's bad news." Lydia lifted an eyebrow.
"Kaelin dear, you're just like me," Lydia says, while she twirls her hair locks gracefully.
"Hmm?" Kaelin asks confused.
"We're both intelligent and beautiful women." Lydia explains, "And sometimes we need a distraction."
"Lydia dear, my brother is an ass." Kaelin tells her sweetly, "I don't want you to get into a habit of falling in love with assholes."
"Kaelin. He likes me. Okay? Some totally hot guy likes me and I like him." Lydia says. Does she seriously only care about his looks?
