Tempest Ankareeda.point of view

We step onto a wide fleet filled with a soft light. The walls are green and silver, the roof gold and in its midst is the trunk of the mighty Mallorn tree, now tapering toward its crown. Celeborn steps forward to greet us his guests. His hair is long and silver, his face grave and beautiful, with no sign of age upon it. Next to him stands Galadriel, the Lady of the Elves. She has hair of deep gold and timeless unsurpassed beauty.

"The enemy knows you have entered here. What hope you had in secrecy is now gone. Nine there are here, yet ten there were set out from Rivendell. Tell me, where is Gandalf? For I much desire to speak with him. I can no longer see him from afar", he said looking at Aragorn. Frodo looks at Galadriel, standing silently beside Celeborn.

"Gandalf the Grey did not pass the borders of this land. He has fallen into Shadow", says Galadriel.

"He was taken by both Shadow and flame. A Balrog of Morgoth. For we went needlessly into the net of Moria", states Legolas she looks at him sadly before speaking.

"Needless were none of the deeds of Gandalf in life. We do not yet know his full purpose", she says before surveying our faces. Gimli looks up as Galadriel, addresses him. "Do not let the great emptiness of Khazad-dûm fill your heart Gimli, son of Glóin. For the world has grown full of peril, and in all lands, love is now mingled with grief." As she says the last part her eye close in on Boromir, before she moves to me.
'You are not of this world', she questions with in my mind.

'No, but I'm guessing you already know that, because of your Jedi mind trick', I answered within my mind.

'It is not such, but from was I saw when you mentioned it it does appear similar', she states within my mind before speaking aloud,"But this I will say to you: your Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while all the Company is true." And with those word she held them with her eyes, and in silence looked searchingly at each of them in turn. None save Legolas, Aragorn and I could long endure her glance. Sam quickly blushed and hung his head.
At last the Lady Galadriel released us from her eyes, and she smiled. 'Do not let your hearts be troubled,' she said. 'Tonight you shall sleep in peace.' Then we sighed and felt suddenly weary, as those who have been questioned long and deeply, though no words had been spoken openly.

'Go now! ' said Celeborn. 'You are worn with sorrow and much toil. Even if your Quest did not concern us closely, you should have refuge in this City, until you were healed and refreshed. Now you shall rest, and we will not speak of your further road for a while.'

That night we slept upon the ground, much to the satisfaction of the hobbits. The Elves spread for them a pavilion among the trees near the fountain, and in it they laid soft couches; then speaking words of peace with fair elvish voices they left us. For a little while we talked of our night before in the tree-tops, and of our day's journey, and of the Lord and Lady; for we had not yet the heart to look further back.

'What did you blush for, Sam? ' said Pippin. 'You soon broke down. Anyone would have thought you had a guilty conscience. I hope it was nothing worse than a wicked plot to steal one of my blankets.'

'I never thought no such thing,' answered Sam, in no mood for jest. 'If you want to know, I felt as if I hadn't got nothing on, and I didn't like it. She seemed to be looking inside me and asking me what I would do if she gave me the chance of flying back home to the Shire to a nice little hole with-with a bit of garden of my own.'

'That's funny,' said Merry. 'Almost exactly what I felt myself; only, only well, I don't think I'll say any more,' he ended lamely

"Mmm, I don't know I just had a nice conversation with her, as for her to be able to send me home is impossible", I sigh once again feeling home sick, Aragorn nodded but Boromir gave me a strange look.

"How could such a thing be impossible", he asked.

"Because I know not how I came to be where Aragorn found me, except that I awoke in unfamiliar woods, and followed Bruinen river for many hours, before finding him because of his fire", I stated flatly.

"Lass how did a fire bring you to him", asked Gimli.

"I smelled smoke, but decided that it could not be a forest fire so it belonged to a person so I went towards it, then I met him though it was a very unique meeting as we both planned to stab the other if they were "bad", but later ended up sharing breakfast", I said chuckling at how we had met. "But that's enough on my past, lets get to sleep, we all need it", I said taking my mat and hanging it like a hammock where I could see the stars. As I got in my "bed" I pulled out my phone and texted my mom.

*we're in Galadhrim. The elves here are pretty nice, and this place is beautiful. I also met Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn, well that's two more off the list all that is left is Legolas' father Thranduil, then I will have completed my met all elven royalty that is on this continent of middle earth. By the way I have taken to letting Gimli call me Lass, though that is how he has referred to me since we met, but I don't mind as it reminds me of grandpa, how is he? I know he wasn't the same after losing grandma, is he doing better or has this made him worse? How is shinálí as well? Well I should go, by mom miss you tell everyone I love them*

'Well Tempest lets get some rest, how about elf style', I thought to my self wondering if Lady Galadriel could still hear me. I starred at the stars quietly slowly drifting towards what ever strange dreams I may have.
