Hope

Chapter 21: The stolen

I woke up with my head bleeding and a major headache. I was in a cage and saw many people in cages. "Hope Swan." A voice said. The voice sounded dark and musky. I looked all around me and found a dark figure outlined in the dark. "Why am I here?" I questioned. He laughed and laughed then I felt a sharp pain in my arm where I got stabbed. From the pain and dizziness I passed out.

(Bailey pov) "Has anyone seen Hope? I can't find her." I asked everyone in the house. Zach was hanging out with his friends for the week trying to get his mind off of Hope being gone. He deserved a break for a while. He has been so stressed with everything happening. Simon went out into the town and asked everyone if they'd seen her. Jace, Hayden, and Izzy helped and asked Raphael's group. I needed to find my little girl and I will not stop until I do find her. Stop anyone in my way if necessary.

(Simon pov) I looked around and asked everyone I saw. I went near the gate smelling something that I recognized. I looked around and opened the gate. I looked over at a rock that had blood on it. And there was a trail of blood. I followed it and then it was a dead end. I went back to the town and called a family meeting in the household. I stood in front of everyone saying, "I found some blood on a rock with a blood trail leading to nowhere. It stopped and I knew whose blood it was. We need to find Hope and stop whoever did this." I saw Jace stand up and say, "Hey buddy we know we have to find Hope, but we don't need to be rational about it. You're not the only one who cares about her here." I stared into his eyes and then walked out of the front door.

I went out the gate with a blood bag and sat on a branch. I was high up and tried to listen for anything. I jumped down and landed softly. I sat down and pulled my knees to my chest. I can't lose her, not everyone I know can die. I imagined back in time that I was just a child and was running in the woods. I got lost, but the quietness was awesome from my brother and sister. I heard screaming all of a sudden and ran as fast as I could towards the sound. I saw a woman laying on the ground. She had brown medium-length hair that was a bit wavy. She wore it loose around her shoulders. She wore faded black destroyed skinny jeans with a burnout v-neck tank top and over that a hooded cropped chambray jacket. Her shoes were a black buckled ankle boots. I realized it was my sister and blood everywhere. I kneeled down by her and looked into her hazel green eyes and a tear went down my face.

I saw someone come over and I didn't know who he was. He told me to leave and don't turn back. I got up and left, then turned back to say something, but they were gone. I never saw her again. I returned back to reality and realized that Hope was all I had now. I speeded back to town and rounded everyone I had that would help me find Hope. Jace, Izzy, and Hayden along with Raphael's group followed me. I asked Landon if he would join and he did. I turned back when I heard Mrs.Swan yelling out to me to go to her. I ran fast to her and she told me that Zach was stolen also.

I yelled for the group to come back at once to continue the mission of finding Hope, but also Zach. I heard Mrs.Swan say, "I lost both of my babies. Please find them quickly. And find out who is doing this." I nodded my head and told everyone to head out on a quest to find Hope and Zach. We traveled a long way before we hit a second town that was abandoned. I told everyone to spread out to find them. I entered a carnival and looked for Hope and Zach. I opened a door in the amusement park that was dark.

(Hope pov) A couple hours earlier. I sat there with nothing to do when I saw a door open hoping it was Simon and Jace. I saw a figure passed out and put in a cage next to me. It took a couple minutes for the mysterious person to wake up. I stood up slowly in the cage. It was a boy who stood up quickly and turned towards me. I saw Zach in that cage freaking out. "My fellow companions. I have the two most powerful in my hands." The man said. We turned and looked at him. He moved into the light so we could see him. It was the person I saw in my vision the one with the armor and fire. He looked scary up close.

"Can we have food?" I asked beggingly. "No save your energy I might need you later." He demanded us. I sat back down in the cage when I saw walkers come into the building. They weren't normal. They walked around looking like walkers but they weren't. They had walker faces on which was smart, but awful. I touched my shard necklace and saw mom and dad crying. I took my hand off quickly and saw a man with a mask go up to the man in armor. He whispered something and then left leading the group away from the building we were in.

"You can call me Burnout!" He yelled and packed everything up and moved the cage but us out of the building. We sat there patiently starving when I thought of an idea to escape the cages. I took out a bobby pin out of my pocket and started unlocking the cage. It took a little while but it opened. I went over to Zach and unlocked his cage and left the building. We were in some kind of amusement park with no one around. We tried turning on the lights and some work. I wanted to run and escape, but we knew some walkers were people.

This place looks amazing and I wish some rides would work, but we were too weak to try. We had to save our energy and wait for rescue to come our way. Zach went out to find food close by. I realized we were the only ones stolen from out of everyone. We must have been a target. I wandered through the park and saw a walker roaming and knew I couldn't take it because I was so weak. I turned quick to hide when metal cut my arm where I got stabbed and started gushing out blood. I started to get dizzy and saw the walker coming towards me and I started to hold my arm to stop the bleeding. The walker got closer when out of nowhere a wolf came and saved me tearing the walker into shreds.

The wolf came to me slowly and I saw the wolves eyes. They were beautiful dark blue-green eyes. I got even dizzier because of the blood I was losing when I started to fall and pass out. I fell and almost hit the ground when someone caught me. I passed out and woke back up in a cave. My brother sat there beside me and I was still bleeding out. I looked at my arm and saw a woman and a man in front of me. I passed out again. I opened my eyes and we were now in the place with the cages we were in.

I woke up with a bandage on my arm and sat up slowly. I saw a woman that had brown medium-length hair that was a bit wavy. She wore it loose around her shoulders. She wore faded black destroyed skinny jeans with a burnout v-neck tank top and over that a hooded cropped chambray jacket. Her shoes were a black buckled ankle boots. A man that possesses curled dirty blond hair and dark blue-green eyes that contrasts with his pearl-white skin. He was well-built and wore red colorblock henley with black coated jeans. His shoes were Lace-up oxfords. "Are you okay Hope?" Zach asked while hugging me. When we were done hugging the boy came over here and handed me some chicken for me to eat. I took it and ate it all and said thanks to him.

"I'm Xaveir and this is my sister Hayley." He told me. I shook his hand and then shook her hand then I looked into Xaveir's eyes. We stared at each other and Hayley said, "Yes, we are werewolves." I still looked at Xavier and he held the stare when the door flung open fast. We all stood up and saw Simon rush in to find us. I ran to him and hugged him trembling. "I'm so glad you're okay." He whispered. Then everyone else ran in here. I stepped back from Simon and then Jace ran in and hugged me as well. This was so weird for him to do that because he never has. "Don't scare me like that again." He whispered in my ear while hugging. We stopped hugging and I went over to Xaveir and Hayley. "Guys this is..." I started when Simon blurted out, "Hayley and Xavier." I looked at him while they ran to hug each other.

We left back to town taking the new recruits which were Simon's brother and sister. We made it through the gates when mom and dad hugged me and Zach. They were crying and for some reason no one asked who did it. "What happened!?" Andrew exclaimed. I looked down at my arm and said, "Xavier and Hayley saved me and Zach." I smiled at them and asked mom and dad if we can build more rooms onto the house. When we got settled in I laid in bed eyes closed replaying the event in my head and remembered I got Stolen.
