Hope is a strange and mysterious passenger
That holds you aloft when nothing else will
It keeps a tentative flutter alive in your chest
When the rest of your body's in failure.
Hope is an ache that won't heal, and you itch it
Because there's something it tethers inside you so strong
You simply can not ignore discard or erase it
No matter how much you try to move on.
