The man
That is not quite there
Looks at me just once
Before he disappears again
And I am left alone.
The man
Who has always been there
Is more a shadow than a face
But where a shadow will always be there
He is impossible to place.
The man
That only I saw
A personal demon for me
Made me a dizzying specimen
A terrifying cocktail of confusion and apathy.
The man
That was so real to me
The most solid illusion there is
Taunted misplaced and stole me
More efficiently than anything that really exists.
