Do you hear all the people,
Saying this and saying that.
Saying don't you ever dare call the kettle black.
They say think about your future,
And learn from past mistakes.
They say if you ever just give up,
It will be the worst decision you ever make.
They say that words run much smoother
When they're considered, written down,
That when people say nothing,
It makes the loudest of sounds.
They say always be honest and grateful and kind,
Be a gentleman, a lady.
They say only be mine.
They say bless you and pardon,
And thankyou and please.
They'll say all sorts of lies to bring you to your knees.
I say nothing, I say different,
I say be all this but more.
Be unconfined by the do this and do that.
Don't listen to them at all.
I say follow my advice, and so don't listen to me.
Listen to your heart,
Be who you want to be.
