06 - The Beginning of an End•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•
The world was made of two things; good and bad, the sweet and bitter, laughter and cries, at last the devils and the archangels. The two mettle co-existed in Gaia and the fates wavered them into tapestry of someone's life. The fates could be cruel at times, they would sew strings of mysery after happiness, determined the end and the beginning, the turns and twist, before they stocked the tapestry under their name as a sign of their end—their death. Now, the Irish witnessed the end of someone's tapestry—Regulus Black's.
Gemma had long denied the power that was sewed into her brain, her skull caged an archangel's wings and it would batter itself before her eyes akin to an alarm between day. Her vision would be spun into their memories and their end. She would watch them die, replicating their future and their pain.
Merlin had called it precognition, the first time she saw it when one of the Merlins Christmas party guest shook her hand. The victim of her vision was an old man with silky silver hair and intimidating gaze, he introduced himself as Abraxas Malfoy. The witch was stunned feeling her chest crushed in coldness and perforating headache, she pulled away as she made an excuse to run towards her living room where plastered to the wall was a Merlin's portrait. She began to blurt out her words with azure eyes glossed of fear. The portrait gazed at her gently while he listened.
"Precognition, Críonna?"
"Yes, child." Merlin smiled kindly, he shifted to grip on his staff. "Ability to foresee possible futures and observe what may happen to them. You will feel what they would feel in their future. In Abraxas Malfoy's case he died from Illness was it?"
Gemma puckered her lips, then nodded giddily. Her fingers nicking on her pink dress, pondering his words. "Future sightings. Is that similar to seer then, Críonna?" inquired the Irish girl with bemused look, "There are what they are called seers with prophecy aren't they? Is that the same thing?"
"Yes and No." answered Merlin in riddle, the witch sighed with an eyebrow raised. He was almost grinning before he went on. "Yes, it's almost like a seer in the sense you peer the future. But seer could make mistakes and prophecy is unclear to whom or how, often, seer's sights are ambiguous. Meanwhile your precognition—is way much detailed, we know exactly whose fate it is."
The silence fell between them when she fell back to the ivory divan. Her brunette hair caugh the light from flames dancing in the fire place. "So, Mr. Malfoy will . . . die."
