Darkness. That's the only thing that was among her now that remained. She could sense that someone lurking behind her slid a hand over her waist, along her abdomen, pulling her back against their chest with a lover's gentleness.

"Get up. Fight the darkness. Please fight it. Do not let it rip your soul." The now female voice pleaded softly in her ear. Mailee awoke under the canopy of a forest that was long forgotten a time ago.

The forest was littered with destruction, gore and wounded fighters. Red, blue and brown are the new colors of what was once a beautiful, lush forest, which has now become the stage of a long, destructive war.

The air which would normally carry the sounds of birds, rivers and wildlife is now carrying a thick, black smoke and small embers, a sight of pure nightmares.

Two highly trained groups fought each other for their kingdoms territory, but it's clear who will win. The wounded of both sides are spread around the forest and the faces of the fighters are grim with the certainty of death and sorrow, fighting was useless at that point, but they will continue to fight for their kingdoms.

With victory ready for the taking the winning side fights as if they're invinsible. Some have succumbed to bloodlust and are recklessly charging towards the enemy with only the aim to kill all, while others can only think of home and what they left behind.

The toll on both nature and humanity is tragic. It'll likely take a lifetime before that forest will have recovered. It's clear blood, lost weapons and gore have taken the place of trees, plants and bushes. A vicious war between Ashia and Toria before the peace treaty was made that ended the wars of old.

"No...why here..." Panic surged when Mailee saw her new surroundings, so strong that she slammed her elbow back and up--hitting what felt like flesh and bone. The woman groaned, releasing Mailee. That was all Mailee needed.

"STOP! Listen to me! Wait!" She ran, treading through the illusions of the forest's blood and organs, and then-- She fell to the burned grass on to her knees, gripping it, frozen in place, watching the dual taking place before her in a clearing. She saw her younger self surrounded by both sides as she fought the other side's leader to the death.

It was a battle that she would never ever forget. Soon Mailee felt that woman's presence behind her. Mailee not looking away from the fight before her, tears filling her already swollen eyes,

"Why? Why must I see these memories again?"

"These memories are here to remind you of the mistakes you have been taught and to do by a tyrant. The darkness will try and destroy you with your darkest regrets. Like you regret that night elf's death and being part of this great war." Mailee closed her eyes really hard wishing the memories would stop and let there be nothing once more.

Silence greeted her after a moment and once she heard nothing she opened her eyes. She took a sigh of relief, but it soon got caught in her throat when she her the woman's voice behind her once more. "Very good. You were able to block the darkness for now." Mailee whirled around and saw none other than the woman that was on the tapestry that hung in her chambers.

"Who...A Night Elf...Are you the old guardian?" She hesitated as she stood up from the ground as she couldn't believe the beautiful woman was a Night Elf of all beings. The woman have Mailee a small gently smile.

"Hello Mailee, it's good to see you again. It has been very long time since then. You were but only 600 years old back then. Do you remember me, I'm Felerai Moonwalker? You have grown into a beautiful young woman, my great-great-great-granddaughter."

"Grandmother? Is that really you?" Mailee's eye widen in disbelief and she ran into the woman's open arms for a warm hug after she smiled warmly again with a slight nod. "Why did you leave me alone after mother...?"

"Shhh...that's not important right now. You have been here in the darkness far too long. Your physical body is being put under a lot of pressure right now. Your newly mate can only do so much for you right now. But you need to take my core in with yours now and then return to him." Mailee watched as Felerai pulled away slightly as they both started to glow.

"Will I see you again or is this the last time again?" Mailee asked after they connected foreheads. Mailee didn't want Felerai to disappear from her life like she did suddenly like her mother did with only a letter left behind.

"I will always be with you, my child. In here," Felerai stated as she pointed to her heart as she slowly started to fade in light. "Now it's time to absorb my core and wake up. And remember do not allow your family...your father to control you any longer. Be strong. Remember when it's too dark for you keep this in mind, 'I will not be broken'. I love you, my child." Was the last thing Mailee heard in the darkness as the light faded and Mailee soon started to fade as well to return to her physical body.

"I love you too, grandmother."
