Soren's chains flanked as he raised his hands in greeting. Soren's head was angled, as if trying to hear.

"I thought you'd never show. What took you so long? I'm bored," he called, and tucked his hands back on the ground in front of himself. The sound echoed throughout the chamber.

"Are you al-alright?" was Mailee's answer.

"Apart from being trapped, and maybe suffering from broken bones, lost of blood, and embarrassment beyond what I'm capable of handling...I'm dandy, so help me out of this thing."

"Man whoever did this is a fucking genius." Mailee tried to cover her laughter behind one of her hands as she gave Soren a look over.

"Quit laughing at me, I'm serious!" Mailee knew he couldn't see through that blindfold he had on.

"I'm not l-laughing." Mailee gave him a smirk that suggested she was, in fact, laughing at him.

"Well then quit whatever it is you're doing." Both Mailee and Soveliss could hear the growing irritation from him.

"This is me with a cheery disposition; a ray of sun-sunshine in the mist of bleakness. So don't put a cloud over my sunshine." The smirk was growing so big on her face that she almost lost it when she saw that Soveliss is shacking his head in amusement as he chuckled softly.

"It's an excuse to laugh at me! I can't believe this. Out of everyone in the entire Ashia, I get paired with you." Soren grunted in annoyance by her and his bonds.

"Hey! I'm not exactly pleased with this situation either. I tried to send Kira in my place, but we can't change that now." Mailee retort back in defense as she wished that whomever did this could have gave Soren a muzzle while there were at it.

Mailee scowled at Soren as she walked over to his side and then pulled off his blindfold. "Now you can see what we are dealing with." As Soren looks at his surroundings the best he could with the chains around his neck, Mailee took this time to examine his wounds quickly.

The few torch on the walls allows him to see the walls, the ceiling, and the floors. The most important thing that he saw was that huge spiderwebs covered everything and everywhere.

"Mailee, do you think you could hurry it up," Soren said. She gave him a particularly vulgar gesture as she pulled out her enchanted chalk and got to work on his bonds.

"Why, you don't want to keep playing bondage with your captor?" Mailee hissed out as she got the first set of chains around his wrist off. She went to his neck and started to work on that one next.

"Can we just for now...get along?" Silence. "Look, we're kind of stuck together here, so we might as well make the best of it. Besides I hate fighting with someone who's supported to be on the same side as me." Silence once again as she continued to work on his chains. "Or you could just not talk to me...that will work."

She scowled as she struggled with the last marking on his chains. "Mailee," Soren started, "It smells awful in here." She knew he was right about the smell in the cave. Her senses are sharper than his--the cave had a strong smell of rust, mold, and rotting things.

"Just hold still and stop talking. I almost got it," she said, more sharply than she'd intended. But he shuts up as she finishes the last of her markings. There was a clank of metal, and a hiss, and then--

"Oh, thank the gods," Soren moaned, hauling the length of chains off his neck. Mailee tucked the enchanted chalk back into her pocket, stood up, and looked down at him as she waited for him to stand. Soren's hands were wrapped tightly around his waist and squeezed, as he tried to get up on his own. Soft moans and grunts escaped Soren's mouth.

"Do you need a hand?" Mailee could see that every movement sent waves of throbbing pain through his chest and back.

"Does it look like I need your help?" Soren grunted, but by this time his entire body was trembling now.

"Do you really want me to answer that or would you like to maintain plausible deniability for later?" Mailee asked as she holds out her hand to him. She watched Soren pause in his struggling of getting up for a moment and took a deep breath.

However, Soren felt like there wasn't much that could be done either way, so the best course of action was to simply deal with it and take her help until the pain subsided.

"I don't know what you're talking about," was his reply as he grabbed her outstretched hand. "Let's just get out of here." Mailee agreed and pulled him off his knees and onto his feet. The throbbing pain from his wounds were enough to disorient him. Hazy, confused and weak in his knees Mailee felt as if Soren could collapse under his own weight at any moment. She proceed to throw one of his arms over her shoulder and throw one of her own around his waist.

An overwhelming feeling of dread took over and for a moment Mailee didn't move a muscle. But soon before Soren could question her, they both heard a faint clicking taps coming from the only way out. Too soon than they liked, the sound stopped and they were pretty sure they both were being watched from the darkness. By what, they did not know.

Mailee tried her damness to seek out what awaits them in the darkness. But what she got were a few multiple red eyes staring right at her.
