Christian's mom was kind enough to watch the kids while Christian and I went out to dinner. It had been a while since we had a date night. I really think it was needed for the both of us. We had been so busy lately with life and moving and the kids, it's only right that we take a night to ourselves.
I didn't know where he was planning on taking me, but Christian told me to dress semi casual. So I opted for a pair of dark high waisted jeans and a cute blouse I had gotten the other day. I hadn't been out to a restaurant in a while, especially in California.
Christian walked in and smiled at me, "You look amazing, babe." He said before kissing my cheek then my lips. "Almost ready to go?"
I nodded at him with a smile, "Just give me like five more minutes. Where are we going?"
"Surprise. I can't tell you yet." He said with a smirk.
I glared at him and then just shook my head with a smile before finishing getting ready. "Okay, I'm ready to go." I tell him, standing up and brushed my hands on my jeans, "You sure I look good?"
Christian rolled his eyes at me, "Babe, you look stunning." He grabbed the keys and then my hand, "Let's go have a date night."

Christian ended up taking me to one of our favorite places out here and I couldn't believe that he even remembered this being one of our favorites.
"Christian, you're joking!" I tell him, looking at where we were.
He looked over at me, "How could I forget this place? This used to be one of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat!" He smiled before getting out of the car and jogged over to my side, opening my car door. "After you, my lady.."
I giggle and get out of the car, "Why thank you, sir." I say, grabbing his hand as we walked inside of the restaurant. Nothing had changed about it. It was just how I remembered it; Perfect.
We got a seat at our table and I couldn't help but smile at him.
"What?" He asked.
"I'm really glad we get to do this.." I say, "I think it's nice for us to get out of the house and just have a night for the two of us." I comment, taking a sip of my drink.
"I think it's good for us too. I love spending time with the kids, but I feel like it's been a while since it's just been you and me able to just have a night to ourselves..." Christian commented, smiling. "Plus, now that we're back home, we get to do this a lot more often. I don't have to worry about baseball, and I'm able to spend all the time I want with my family."
"As much as I loved watching you play baseball, I do love having you home all the time now." I admit, "It's nice going to bed with you, and not having to go to bed without you because you're at a game or out of town.."
Christian nodded in agreement, "I definitely agree. It's nice being able to sleep in too and not have to be at the stadium at ridiculous hours." He chuckled, "It's kind of nice having the kids wake me up because they want breakfast."
I giggle and nod, "Now you know what I dealt with when you're gone. Usually it's Willow coming to tap my arm because she wants pancakes or just wants me to wake up. I have a feeling Jaxson will do that once he's talking and walking around."
"For sure," Christian said as we continued to just have some small talk about the kids. Somehow, whenever we're away from the kids, we tend to talk about them a lot more. I think it's just the fact of missing them. I'm not complaining, though.

After an amazing dinner, Christian's mom decided to take the kids for the night. It was something we weren't expecting, but having the house to ourselves was something that was very needed.
