Chapter Two

Raven's POV

"Doc,you have a message from your father." The head nurse called me. I walked towards them. I've done my rounds this morning.
It was written on the paper.
"I wrote it doc so that I couldn't forget." She said.
"Who told you?"
"Ms. Isabella Chavez."
"Isabella?" I was surprised when I heard her name.
"Yeah. "
"She's here?"
"Yeah,she was with her friends. Her friend was admitted here due to appendicitis. You operated her too." She said.
I remember the woman I annoyed this morning. Is she Isabella? She's getting paler and paler.
"Okay,thanks."
I called my father this morning. There!I was able to hear her irritated voice.
I have to go home tomorrow as the note said.
I went to my office. I called my dad again.
"Harrison Builders Enterprises, how may I help you?"
She arrived already. I smiled.
"Dad please." I said in a cold tone.   I could hear her slamming the pen on her table.
" faster,I don't have time to wait for you " I told her keeping my cold tone.
Then a moment passing by.
"Oh,Raven,you called up."
"What's with tomorrow, dad?"
" It's your mom's birthday! My goodness,Raven! Don't you dare forget your mom's birthday! "He almost shouted at me.
" Fine, I must be very busy here dad,that's why I forget her birthday."
"Okay. Don't work too hard,son! Don't be late tomorrow okay?"
"Okay. I have to go."
"by the way the way,what did you say to Isabella,her face can't be drawn by da Vinci."
"I didn't say anything. "
"Tsk, I know. You're good at annoying people."
"Dad!"
"Bye now. I have many things to do."
He ended the call. I stood up and walked out from my office.
I remembered when I was still in college.
Isabella was one of my classmates that time. She was silent and hardworking human being. We were in the same class. Since I was not that famous before,she didn't notice me. She was with Lee and Jonah all the time.
This morning I was very surprised when I saw her two friends. I thought they remember me. Fortunately, they didn't.

I went for another rounds. I have to check my patients progress.
Being a doctor is what I really wanted to do before. That is why I declined when my father told me that I have to take up Business course in University. I feel I'm not good at that. My brother can do so. He is now in University and took up Business Management.

I was wondering why she landed on secretarial jobs. She was a good student back then. She always got perfect score during exams. But when we finished sports day in our course,I couldn't see her anymore and her friends shifted to another course. I can't ask them why because we are not that closed. I usually sit at the back part of the class. I stayed alone. I am the last one who arrives in class and the first person who leaves the class.

I knocked the door. Lee opened it.
"Hello doctor "
"How is she?"
"She's sleeping. I guess,she's doing fine."
"That's good."
I checked the intravenous drops that was connected to Jonah's arms.
"Let her finish this and tomorrow she can go home."
"Thank you. If not for you,we might lose her."
"Don't mention it."
"Anyhow, I think we already met before. Right?"
" I'm not sure where. " I said. I did some checks.
"Well,maybe you just look alike with the person in my mind. I feel we were classmate back then. "
You're right good friend.
I looked at her.
"Am I right? Well,we are not that famous. But Isabella is one of the student council of the school so maybe she's popular than us. Although she's silent and works on her own."
"Isabella who?" I said.
"One of my friends.  "
"Ahh okay. Where did you  graduate in University?"
"University of the West."
"Ahh,okay."
"You also?"
"Hmm. "
"What?"
She was really excited. I don't know why.
I remember they always go together with Jonah and Isabella.
"Well,maybe I'm just mistaken. You are really famous doctor now. Congratulation to you!"
"No,it's not that big. You don't have to say that. I'm doing it because I have to. I want to help other people."
"But it is extraordinary."
"I guess so."
"Belle wanted to do that too."
"Belle who?"
"Isabella. She wanted to be a doctor. But her scholarship stopped when her benefactor died due to colon cancer. So she stopped in University. The next year,she went back again but another course."
That's why!
"I feel we were classmate before."
"Yeah,we were!" I said.
"Really? Tsk,I told you. That's why you look familiar."
" We were classmate. "
"I remembered when you borrowed Isabella's pen,she was really angry that time because you never returned it."
"Until now."
"What?"
"I didn't see her anymore."
"Really?"
"Hmm. But anyway I'm very happy to see all of you."
"Yeah sure.  Let's go out for old time's sake."
"Sure."
"Thanks doc."
"Raven. No need to call me doc. That was only for strangers."
"Can we take a picture?"
I laughed. This woman is not thinking  how busy I am.
We took a picture.
"I gotta go. "
"Bye."
I went out. I took a deep breath.

"Hello doctor." I smiled to the boy who I took care yesterday.  He was still ten years old and has congenital heart disease.
"Hello boy."
"I am fine already right?"
"Yeah you are "
"I'm strong!"
"Yes! Good boy!"
We gave each other a high five. I left the ward and went back to my office. I am a resident doctor.
If she finished before,maybe we have a chance to work together.

We had quiz that time. I don't have anything. Pen or paper I didn't have because I was overslept. I loved sleeping before. My father always got stress because of me.
"Can I borrow a pen?"
One of my classmates said he doesn't have extra pen.
She sat in front of me and handed me her pen.
" Everyone knows you are rich but why you don't have pen?". She said.
"None of your business! But still thank you."
"Tsk. "
I didn't return her pen to annoyed her even more. I usually comes late and left first the class.

Then,when I decided to return it to her,I couldn't see her.
