Chapter Seventeen

I prepared our foods on the small table. She just watched me. I also bought lettuce,carrots and cucumber. I didn't show her the chicken.
"Are you serious?" She sat next to me. I secretly smiled.
"Yeah,I'm serious. Eat first!" I told her. I controlled myself not to laugh at her.
"Vegetables? I like vegetables but not only vegetables." She said. She's crying right now. I looked at her.
I put the chicken and the steak on the table. She wiped her tears.
"Like a baby!" I said. I started to eat now. Of course I love vegetables so I eat vegetables first.
"Thank you." She told me. I gave her medicine when I saw her drinking the water in the glass. She took it and stayed beside me.
"You can change your pajama today." I told her. Her face lit up.
I pointed the paper bag on the sofa.
"By the way,I called them all that you are in the hospital. "
"My parents?"
"Yeah! And mom and dad too. They are worried about you. Mom told you to go to work today but you're here."
"Okay."
She got up and went to the sofa. I bought her toiletries and pajama for her to change tonight.
"Thank you."
"Your welcome." I said. I finished all the foods and washed it in the bathroom.
She was watching movie again.
"Don't watch horror movie." I told her. She nodded her head.
When I'm done,she went to the bathroom.
I watched the documentary show she's watching. It took for one hour for her to finish in the bathroom.
I stood up and knocked the door.
"Hey,Bella!" I called her. Tsk,this woman will really give me a heart attack.
She opened the door. The towel is in her head.
" I'm fine." She said. She was wearing the polo style pajama that the color matches her skin. It's black color. She looks so pretty.
I went back to the sofa. She sat next to me.
"Dry my hair,please." She said. She gave me the towel.
"I'm not your servant." I told her. My eyes were still on the TV.
"Please."
"No."
"Raven!" For the first time in the history! She called my name! My heart began to pound very loud.
"What!?"
"Dry my hair please."
"Bella,you're annoying already." I groaned. She smiled at me.
"Just five minutes."
I grabbed the towel and do what she say. Her hair smelled with fresh flowers. It doesn't irritate my nostrils. Maybe I can smell her hair for a day.
Then when I looked at her,she was already sleeping. I smiled. I stared at her face.  I caressed her cheeks.
Stay with me please.

I transferred her on the bed.
I still watched the show on TV until I feel sleepy. I decided to stay with her tonight again.  I lay down on the couch. I slept in there too.
At exactly 12:00,she got up and woke me up.
"Why?" I asked her but my eyes are still closed.
"Why are you sleeping there? "
"Why? Can we share the bed and the blanket?"
"If you're not doing any terrible things,maybe fine with me." She said. I nodded my head.
She went back to bed.
"Raven" she called me. I got up and lay down next to her. We turned our back to each other but we shared the same blanket. I feel warmth now.

Time passed by.

It's already dawn and I woke up with an arms enclosing me. She was hugging me. She's doing the terrible things. I smiled.
I looked at my ring intently and closed my eyes again. I could sleep once more.

In the morning, I woke up with a loud knock on the door. I opened my eyes. I saw our parents standing by the door.
"Raven!"
"Bella!"
They both called us. Our fathers were looking at us furiously. I feel we are young people who were being caught by our parents after doing prohibited things. I got up and I woke her up immediately. She punched me on my stomach.
"Ouch!" I groaned.
"She doesn't like someone would wake her up." Her mother said.
"Mom,we didn't do anything. We just sleep together." I said. " Hey,Bella, wake up!"
She then rubbed her eyes. I rose from the bed.
"No,this is isn't right. Her family trusted and took care of you,Raven but why you let this thing happen." Dad said. She got up too. She leaned on the bed.
"What happened?" She asked me.
"They are furious because they saw us you are hugging me." I told her angrily. She seems disoriented with the things happenings around her.
"Ma! Nothing happened."
"No,you are still a woman. Bella! Remember that. "
"You should marry her!" My father said.
"What??"
"What??" We both exclaimed simultaneously. I looked at her face. It turned red and seems like angry.
"No!"
"You should marry. Both of you. You are both mature and old. Why do you let us see this , first thing in the morning. You should not stay here,Raven and Bella,if you don't want to marry this time,you should hug that man when you are sleeping and don't let a man sleep with you without the sanctity of marriage." Her mom said.
"I'm sorry,Ediliza!This should not happen." My mother said to her mom.
My mom held her head. She has heart disease.
"Oh, I can hardly breathe!" She said!
"Fine,let's get married." I said to her.
"What?" She exclaimed.
"Let's get married."
"Good! We'll plan your wedding as soon as possible." My mom told us.  I sat down on the bed again.
"Raven,it's not good to sleep with women without marriage. I have always told you this,right? And to think,to the woman who is really important in our family. I feel ashamed of what you have done." My dad said.
"I'm sorry. I stayed with her intentionally because I don't want her to be alone."
"Fine,but not to the extent that you sleep with the same bed!" Her father said.
"She told me." I said. My mother hit me.
"You should become gentleman. Saying no to that shows manly and gentle. Why can't you do that?" My mother said.
"Fine,let's stop this." My father said.
"I want my daughter to be married as soon as possible." Her father said.
"Pa!" She exclaimed.
"Hey,Bella,keep quiet. I didn't teach you to be a low woman. I told you before that you shouldn't let a man sleep with you without the marriage. I feel disappointed with you."
"I'm sorry Ma,Pa. I feel pity on him lying on the couch with cold air from the air-conditioning system and no blanket at all. "
"Whatever."
"Okay,I'm going to contact our lawyer. You'll be having your civil marriage. Since,Bella will go to school next semester. I want you to do that too. "
"What? But Mom!"
"Bella,remember I'm still your boss and everything I say you'll follow." My mother said.
"You'll have your church wedding after your graduation. You only have three years to finish the course then you'll become a doctor."
"Ma!"
"I'm fine with that,Monica."
"Okay"
Her face frowned until they left. I stood up and went to the bathroom. I washed my face. I'm not dreaming. It's real. The cold water that touches my skin helped me to realize that everything is real.
I went out and walked towards the door.
"Are you gonna let them do that?" She asked me.
"I can't say no to mom."
"But what about Isabella."
"I don't care. "
"Are you crazy? She's your girlfriend or wife."
"I don't have a wife." I said.
"I don't want this marriage." She's crying.
"Then tell them not to pursue it." I closed the door and held my ring. I went to my office to get my car key.
I feel something in my feet moves so fast and I came back to her room.
