Chapter Twenty Four

"Congratulations!" They greeted me as I walked down from the stage. I got my certificate for being an Internal Medicine.
He couldn't attend my graduation ceremony since he had work and he can't leave it.
After the ceremony, we went to fancy restaurant for celebration. My family and his family were present during this time in my life.
We were waiting for him. I didn't eat until he arrive. But he never called me either. Where is he?
We're done eating in that restaurant and no Raven came. I went home alone. The house is still dark.
I put my shoes on the rack. Then I opened the lights. I saw a bouquet of tulips on the center table.
Congratulations my wife!
He's here already.
"Hon!" I called him. I saw him in the kitchen.
"Oh,you're here." He said smiling at me.
"Why didn't you come?" I confronted him immediately.
"I'm a little late. So I texted Mom that I won't come and I directly went home."
"Okay. What are you doing?"
"I made a cake for you."
"Really?"
"Hmm. I hope you like it."
"Of course I do."
I hugged him from his back.
"Thank you for supporting me."
"You're welcome. "
"You paid my tuition fee right?"
"Why did you know?"
"Mom told me. "
"Yeah. I have a lot of money."
"You're boastful." I pinched his stomach. He faced me but still hugging me.
"I love you. I'm sorry for what I did before,for saying terrible things to you. I won't get angry anymore at you. "
"You're forgiven."
"Really? That fast?"
"Hmm. "
I pulled my hands from his body.
" I'll go upstairs. I'll take a bath."
"Sure. We'll eat this tomorrow."
"Do you have work tomorrow?"
I asked him.
"Nothing."
"Really?"
"Yeah. So we can have our precious time."
I smiled at him. I went to our room. I stayed in the bathtub for one hour. I woke up from his loud knock.
"What?" I asked him. I was wearing my bathrobe.
"What are you doing? Don't stay long in the bathtub again. If you don't want me to die early."
I laughed.
"Why?"
"I'm scared."
I hugged him.
"Hmm. You smell good." He said. He sniffed my hair.
"Let me go." I said. He laughed at me. Instead of letting me go,he carried me to the bed. 

The next day,I looked at the clock on the wall. It's ten in the morning. I got up and there, I found out everything was given up last night. He was still sleeping peacefully. I looked at him intently.
I never knew that my crush when I was still in university became my handsome husband. I never knew that we can be together now.
I got up and went to the bathroom.
I wore my best comfortable clothes and get back to the bed again.
He moved and hugged me.
"Good morning." He whispered. ."
"Good morning to you too."
He got up and combed his hair with his hands. He went to the bathroom to take a shower. I prepared his clothes.  When he's done,he went out with only his towel.
"Raven,you don't have glamorous body to show off. Get change." I told him while reading a book.
"It's fine. I'm not your type right?"  He said. He wore the clothes I prepared.
"Yeah,that's good you know." I said and smiled at him. He sat next to me.
"Aren't you hungry?"
"I am." I said. He got up again and went out. After a while,he came back with foods on the tray.
"Why are you staring at me?"
"I am imagining you after nine months." He said. I hit his stomach.
"I love you." He mouthed at me. I shoved the bread on his mouth.
" After nine months,I'll get fat and stretch marks. Do you still like me?" He nodded his head.
"Yeah. Of course because true love never see the outside appearance but the inside. What must be felt can't be seen outside."
" I love you more."
He pulled me into embrace and kissed me.
"You gave me hope. You give me strength every day. I'll treasure you as much as I do." He said.
"Why are you so romantic now?" I told him playfully.
"I am just happy. I'm excited to have a baby with you."
I hit his stomach again.
"Why?"
"Stop it. Don't say it one more time." I said.
"I want to name him,Raven Zachary and if she's a girl,Isabella Hera.  Nice names right?" He said. He was hugging me.
" I like it. Where did you get that names?"
"I thought of that long before when I was still in America. I made a plan for our future."
"What if I didn't work in your father's company?"
"I'll find you. "
"Where?"
"Anywhere. I can find you even if I have amnesia, Bella."
As if my heart was being caressed by a hand.
"My heart will always recognize you." He added.
He kissed my hand.
"Wow! I love your words today."
I said. "You didn't court me."
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He said immediately.
"Yes. Of course."
"Let's date next week."
"Why not now?"
"No,I have other plans that are most important than going out."
I hit him again since I can understand what he wanted to do.
"How is Lee and Jonah?"
"Lee is getting married while Jonah is trying to focus on her business in her hometown. She had a partnership with her best friend. "
"Best friend?"
"Yeah. I saw him already."
"Him?"
"Yeah. Lawrence. He's a businessman. "
"Do you think they are just best friend?"
"What?"
"I think it's not. Something is going on with him."
"Really you feel that?"
"Hmm. "
"I don't think they have."
"Tsk. How could you? They are always together. Who would not feel something towards each other?"
" so bad."
He put the tray of food on the bedside table.
"I'm going to sleep. I'm  tired and sleepy." He said.
I hit him. He pulled me to his side.
"Sleep with me. " he said. I smiled.
"Don't get sick okay?" I told him.
"Don't lie to me." He said.
"Don't cheat on me."
"Don't sleep without me."
"Don't work too much."
"You too. "
"I'm happy to be with you. "
"Me too.  You're my home. My favorite person."
"You're my home too."
We closed each other's eyes and dozed off. The sound of our breath went deep and even as we travel together to the dreamland. For future days we will have,we'll face it hand in hand. Though we get tired of working and giving service to others,and saving lives together,we can still find peace and comfort. Because we know, at the end of the day,we find each other's arms and it's our HOME.

Home is not only those concrete things that we stayed for shelter but something that we can find from other people and we feel comfort and safety.
