Ch 10. Rush

I follow Zach into his office. His tone of asking to speak with me was sincere and angry sounding. "Skylar. I really want you to tell everyone youre joining. A few of the guys now have told me they they want you to join. They asked me not to tell you who asked. They are asking for me to let you join. They want you in the team as well." Zach said his tone lightening. "Tonight." I say. Zach got a big smile on his face. "Tonight we will tell them. On the beach tonight. Like the first day I sang for y'all." I say. "How are you going to tell them?" Zach asks me. "Through song... I will tell them through song. I'll find the perfect one. To tell them without telling them
For them to get it but be confused." I said back. He caught my drift and nodded slightly chuckling. "Dismissed." Zach said nodding his head.

For the past few weeks everyone has been begging me to join the team. Ive seen them going in and out of Zachs office some with a dissapointed look and some with a big smile on their faces. It just makes me think of what he told them.

I just need to think of the perfect song. That day I was rushing myself around. Going to the stores and back to my beach house. Getting everything set up. I changed my mind from the beach party to a beach house party. It was supossed to storm later tonight. Zach and Mel stayed at my house setting everything up while I ran back and forth. Making sure the firepit outside was clean and ready to use. Along with the pool and the hot tub.

Before anyone could have the chance to figure anything out there would be a giant game of clue. Read the riddle solve it. Move on to the next clue. I made sure it was set up like that. So they would have to see random letters. And place them together to make a sentence. I made sure to out the letters to where they would have to reorganize them.

Once 9:30 hit everyone was blindfolded and brought here. No one has seen this house except Heidi. And she to was blind folded so she didn't know where she was. While everyone was on the way I say up. I made my signature wine. My red cherry vanilla white wine. (I need a shorter name for that...) I made enough for everyone to have 2 glasses. Soon they would be here. In about 20 maybe 25 minutes everyone would be here. I got the drinks set out and got my guitar out of my truck and sat there playing some songs until time got closer.

About 5 minutes until they would be here. So I started playing the song I wanted to use to let them know im apart of the team. To let them know im in the family now. And that song is Bless The Broken Road. I know its strange for the circumstance. But... My broken road did lead me to this amazing family. To this amazing team. Even if they dont get it from the song. Ill tell them by straight up saying it.

I got up to get me a drink and recieve a message. I chose to ignore it untill I got my water and sat back down. I paused the song and opened the message.

Mel: Hey. Were here. Outside. Want to open the door?
Me: Yeah. Of course. All of their seats are placed and ready. Ill be there in a moment.

I had their seat set with a small table in between each chair. With two glasses of my wine mixture sitting there. There is a big half circle. Kind of.

I opened the door to see Mel standing in front off a line of blindfolded people. I almost started laughing. Mel looked amazed when she seen the inside of my house after she and Zach had decorated it. She had the same look as I did when I first seen it. "Wow." She said mouthing the word. I motioned with my hand to follow me and she brough in Tyler first. We sat him down and told him not to touch anything. Then Darius.. Tristan.. Ian.. Dom.. Padre.. Chris.. Heidi.. Bryan.. Then Mel and Zach came in and sat as well.

"Welcome. To. My. Beach house." I say pausing inbetween words for added effects. "Take off your blindfolds." Mel and I said at the same time. They all took their blindfolds off and looked amazed. They looked like kids in a candy store. "You should see yalls faces. Yall look like kids in a candy store." I say laughing. "No! This isnt! Is this..!" Heidi exclaims pointing at the wine. Causing everyone to look at her then the glasses beside them.

I simply nod and shoosh Heidi before she can say I made it. "It is." I say bluntly. She got such a happy look on her face while everyone else was just confused. "Are you okay?" Bryan asked Heidi at her sudden burst of excitement. "Very much okay." She said not taking her pleading eyes off of me. Bryan caught her look and looked at me. He gave me a confused look. I just held up one finger silently telling him to wait. He nodded and started talking to Heidi. Truning to talk to Chris as well.

About 10 minutes later after talking to Mel and Zach in another room we all three come out with big smiles on our faces. I was a bit worried about how they would react to me telling them 'Hey. Ive been apart of the Dream LA team for 3 weeks now.' Theyve all been asking me to join the team and been begging Zach to let me join. A few of them hes told no and a few of them hes told hed think about it. That was the reason for some of the guys leaving with smiles and some with dissapointed looks.

Its almost time for me to tell them. But first. I guess that I have to let Heidi drink the glass of wine beside her before she kills me... Haha. "Before anything happens tonight..." I say pausing to get everyones attention. "Before Heidi kills me... Could y'all do me a favor and try the drink beside you? This is a celebratory day. Today holds good news." I say and Heidi egerly drinks her wine taking small sips to savor the flavor of it. The boys cautiously try it. Only to end up with amazed looks on their faces. Kinda like their jaws dropped to the floor.

I just sat there laughing. "This is amazing!" Tristan said. Everyone else agreed. Heidi laughed. "This wine isnt bottled..." Chris said looking at me. "Uh... No... Its not..." I say rubbing the back of my neck. "You made this... Didnt you?" Tyler asked. I shook my head yes and everyone looked like they couldnt believe it. "Ive had a bit of time to experiment with mixing different drinks to create the best one." I say looking at Mel. She nodded telling me it was time.

"Okay. Now for the real reason why youre all here. I have something to tell you." I say taking a deep breathe. They all look at me and nod. "Remember the night on the beach. That I sang for y'all?" I ask. "Couldnt forget it." A few of the guys say while others look at me noding and confused. It was 10 now and it hadnt stormed. "I hope yall brought your swim suits like you were supossed to." I say letting out a small laugh. They all did. "Follow me." I say getting up. As I make my way to the back door leading out to the pool and hot tub I end up stripping down to my bikini on the way.

I decided to wear this one for the night.

When I opened the back door there was a black sheet. Only so they couldnt see the pool area. I ran the hot tub for an hour before they got here so the water was warm.
