Ch 27: Road Trip

"Come on babe. Lets go." Chris yelled from downstairs. We said our quick good byes to everyone and left. "I'm driving first." Chris said as I shut the door. "Okay. Gives me time to refill my vape and make sure my guitar case is locked." I said hopping in the back seat of the jeep. "Vape?" He asked me confused. "Uh... Yeah... I vape. I thought you knew that." I said questioningly. "No. Oh well. I learned something new today." He said pulling away from the house.

"I don't know where we're going. But we are going." Chris said as I fiddled around with stuff in the back. "Yeehaw partner lets go!" I yelled happily from the back. (Dont judge.) I found my vape and refilled it. "Im climbing up front." I said climbing through the seats. "Clearly. Watch the pop." Chris said. "I got it." I said as I grabbed my seat belt.

"Where do you want to go?" I asked Chris plugging in my vape to charge it. "I dont know. I'm only asking to be sure. Whats the point of this trip? I'm happy im going with you. Im not doubting anything. Please dont be angry or upset." Chris said quickly. "Its fine baby. Honestly. I dont know what the point of this trip is. But it gives us alone time to make our bond stronger. So I guess the point of this trip is... Us." I said thinking about it. "I'm happy were going. Even if we don't know where we're going." Chris said with a laugh. I playfully pushed his shoulder and turned on the radio.

After driving for a few hours we decided to stop and eat somewhere. Okay okay... Imma be completely honest. More like 13 hours straight. Not even gonna lie. Chris drove alot without stopping. Only for gas and bathroom breaks. "Hotel tonight?" I asked yawning. "Yeah." He said. "Rest your eyes beautiful. I'll wake you when we are there." "Okay. I love you." I said as I drifted off to sleep. "I love you too." Is the last thing I heard before I was asleep.

Chris's POV~

I don't know what the point of this trip is. But I dont care. I get to spend alone time with the love of my life. She has no idea how much I care about her and love her.

Soon after she fell asleep I pulled into a nice looking hotel. Driving for over 10 hours has me beat. I am exhausted. Skylar is driving tomorrow. 'She's driving tomorrow.' I said to myself with a laugh. I checked us into a room before I decided to wake up Skylar. Im glad I decided to do that because the guy at the front desk was a real creep. I honestly dont know if I want us to stay here but im already checked in. "Thank you." I said politely as he game me my room key.

Hesitantly I walked back out the doors to get Skylar. "Baby." I said opening her door. "Huh?" She said sleepily. "Get up. We are at the hotel." I said. She sat up rubbing her eyes. Such beauty. Even when shes asleep. So peaceful. "I must warn you the guy at the counter is kinda creepy. Its just my first impression of him. He may be different though." I said. Skylar sleepily got out of the car. "Let me get my bag real quick. I need a change of clothes." She said as she walked to the back of the jeep. Quickly putting some clothes into her bag. She swung her bag over she shoulder and shut the back door.

"Lets go." She said reaching her hand out for mine. Taking her hand we began walking inside. When we walking inside she greeted the desk clerk as we walked by. I dont like the look he gave her. I was right with my first thought. He is a creep. Once we got to the room it was nice. The room was a good size with a king sized bed. Clean. Very clean. "Wow." I said as I shut the door behind Skylar and I. "The bed is so soft!!!" She exclaimed with a laugh.

"Oh it is." I said as I sat on the bed. "This is amazing. Thank you. For coming with me. And being in my life with me. You're amazing. And I love you so much. More then you'll ever know." Skylar said kissing me. "I'll always be with you baby. And im happy I came with you. I love you too!" I said hugging her. "Im going to go shower." She said pulling away from our hug. "Okay." I said. As she walked away I leaned back on the bed and clicked on the tv. After watching a bit of tv I must have dosed off.
