"FOUND SKYLAR!" He yelled loudly. Groans could be heard around the house coming into the kitchen. "Ive never played this before give me a break." I said thowing my hands up in surrender. "New game?" Mel asked coming into the kitchen. "Explain the rules this time? I asked. There were a few nods and we all sat down.

"Give me a few mimutes." I said grabbing. A flash light and walking away. I had to use the bathroom. Mel followed me. "Im coming with you." Mel said from behind me. "Okay." I said not minding it. "Have you never really played this before?" She asked as I used the restroom. "No. I haven't." I said answering her truthfully. "Well... Theres a first for everything." Mel said with her back to me.

I did what I had to do. "Youre good." I said. Telling her she could turn around. I flushed the toilet and washed my hands. "I was lonely as a child. I didnt have friends to play games like this with." I said shutting the water off. I dried my hands and brushed my hair out quickly. I did a simple french braid and we joined the guys in the kitchen. "Mel give me your phone." I said. She gave me her phone and I plugged it into my power bank. It started charging and I took the solar powerbank we had just bought and put them outside directly in the sun. At night they would charge our phones.

"Update on socials?" I asked them. They all agreed on it and I posted a picture of all of us saying that were okay and all that other stuff. We all kinda disconected from out phones. Its been about 2 weeks since the start of this and we all hadnt been able to use out phones. I almost hated buying these battery packs. But if something actually happened and we needed to call someone. We would need out phones to do that. Taking safe measures.

"On with the rules of the game." I said putting everyones phones in a drawer. Everyone knew where they were.

"Rule one: if you hide. Hide good. You can only move once."
"Rule two: If you seek. Be quiet. Stealth is key. Be sneaky."
"Rule three: if you get caught the game ends. And the first person found becomes the seeker of the next round."
"Rule four: you can hide anywhere on this floor and upstairs only! First and second floor only!"

Bryan explained the rules eyeing his brother when he said rule number 4.

"I got it. But one quick question." I said looking at Bryan. "Ask away." He said looking back at me. "Since I didnt know the rules. And since ive never played this before. Can we play rock paper sissors to see who goes first?" I asked. "Or we draw straws like we did before yall got home." Tyler said holding up straws. "Or that." I said laughing. Zach took the straws and made sure the tops were even. "Ladies first." Bryan said motioning at Mel and I. "Mel. Youre first." I said. She drew her straw and it was rather short. I was next. I drew a straw and it was longer. The boys drew and Bryan had the shortest straw.

"BRYAN SEEKS FIRST!" I yelled moving away from him laughing. "Run little lamb run!" He said. I was confused at why he would say that. But I shook it away and we all ran. Bryan turned around and burried his head in his arms and counted slowly to 100. I didnt know where to hide so I hid in a closet. Of all places on two floors. I hid in a damn closet. I got on the bottom shelf and put the towels back infront of me. It pays off to be short and small.

I made sure the towels were neat and closed the door as quietly as I could. After I hear a very loud "100" I made sure to be as silent as I could. I tried not to move. The only bad thing about my hiding spot. Im claustraphobic. Im scared of small spaces. And this. Is a very small space. I went in feet first. Which im thankful I did. After a few minute the door opened and I was about to come out then Bryan closes the door and walked away. Then I rmemebered I was in the bottom shelf of a closet. I almost laughed.

Hiding spots:

Chris: upstairs under a bed
Tyler: behind the fridge (how Idk)
Mel: under a bed
Zach: in a closet also
Me: towel closet

After about 10 to 15 minutes he hadnt found anyone yet. I was getting bored. Just then there was a giant clash of thunder over the house. It scared me so bad. I started to hyperventalate. I started banging on the door and Bryan ran and opened the door. I climbed out and clutched my chest to calm down. After a minute I could breathe normally. "Find anyone yet?" I ask through heavy breaths. "No. Do you want to hide again? Since I didnt truly find you and you still have another chance." He asked me. I said yes and quickly ran away.

I decided to quickly run upstairs and hide under a bed. I just ran into the first room and jumped under the bed. I think I ran into Chris's room but I wasnt sure because I was running so fast. "Damn it." Chris said. I scared him. "Sorry. The giant thunder boom scared me I started hyperventilating and Bryan gave me the chance to hide again. I was stuck in the bottom of a closet." I explained. He nodded and stayed silent.

"What closet?" He asked me after a few minutes. "They small towel closet downstairs by the kitchen." I said shortly and quietly. "How did you fit in there? That's a really small closet." He asked me. Just as I was about to answer the door swung open and Bryan walked in.

I scooted myself as close to the wall as quietly as I could. Chris did the same. Bryan peeked his head under the bed. "Hiya brother." He said laughing. "FOUND CHRIS!!!" He said yelling as loud as he could. Chris and I climbed out from under the bed. "Oh youre here to? Okay then." He said as he seen me climbing out behind Chris.

As the night went on we played more games and had more fun. We got exhausted and slept in our own rooms tonight. The storm raged on for another 3 days. Then it finally stopped. Those next 2 or 3 weeks we voluntered to help clean the community.

It took a long time but we all got things cleaned up and put back together again. This hurricane destroyed so many home and families. It almost ruined what "family" I had left. I learned a valuable lesson from this disaster. And its one ill never forget.

The power finally came back on and we got to live stream and talk to our fans. I showed them some pictures of the damage that has been done and showed them after the city was cleaned up.

None of us would forget those nights of fun and those nights of anger and frustration. The other guys and Heidi came back then they could and they helped clean the community as well. We did alot of good. Hopefully there will be more days of hide and seek and other games.

Time passed and things got better. Things got back to normal. The only thing that changed was a game night once every month. Sometimes we'd play board games or we'd play hide and seek other times.

1,305 words.

Things are going good. Time has passed. The whole family is back together again. And amazing things happened since that major disaster. They all made the good out of the bad.

Chapter 20 takes place over a 3 month time difference. 3 months from when this happened. And things will get interesting.... Hehehe
