I had been with the boys for like what? Three hours now? I'm not really sure anymore. With the series of unfortunate events that has happened to me, they had been all over me. Treating me as if I was a patient that had an incurable disease. They haven't left my side since then. When I say that they were over protective, I wasn't lying. They almost wanted to tie me on the couch because I said I wanted to go the the concert hall. I heard from my manager that the girls had gone there right after lunch. They had to practice their markings seeing that I can't fully do the choreography.
"Please?" I peeked through my lashes, trying to get them to say yes. I clasped my hands together and jutted my lip out.
The least I could do was support them so I really wanted to go and see for myself how they were doing.
"No. You've asked that the sixth time already. No." Tae oppa cut in even before I could even say another word. He had his eyes fixated on his phone but still managed to feel my agitation.
"Please? I'll stay with Kibum oppa the whole time I'm there." I tried to negotiate.
I perked up fast when Namjoon oppa turned to look at me this time. "Yeah... Not gonna happen." My shoulders sagged.
"But—"
"Just rest for now, JiJi. We'll head out maybe after an hour." He went back to scanning channels aimlessly on the tv. I breathed out.
But that was still so long....
I plopped myself further on the couch. My arms and legs crossing as I gave each and everyone in the room a glare. Our little game of avoiding eyes instantly coming to an end when the doorbell rang. The gentle chime becoming almost irritating due to the lack of sound in the room. The boys' heads turned to the door a little too fast, I wanted to laugh. I would have cackled then and there if I wasn't upset with them. They looked like meerkats.
Finally, JK got to his feet and walked past us to let in whoever it was that decided to visit. It was probably their manager, Sejin.
"So.. Mario Kart, anyone?" Jin oppa asked the maknae line. The older ones had long continued whatever they were doing. The eldest stood up from his seat and handed out the game consoles to Jimin and Tae.
"Uh— guys? We have Yeonjun here." We heard JK oppa hollering at the door. He sounded bewildered.
All of us paused. Cluelessly looking at one another then it was as if they connected the dots. Their faces morphed to stern ones.
What was he doing here? Did I hear it right?
I whipped my head as fast as I could to the direction of the door. My eyes expecting them to appear right about—
—now. Shoot. Yeonjun walked painstakingly slow.
I sucked in a breath the moment my eyes caught sight of his form. The air getting knocked out off my lungs. My eyes raked his figure from his head down to his feet. Has he dressed like this before? Because he looked so good. So friggin' attractive. He had his fringe styled to the side again and good heavens, he had on these cute little round specs resting on the bridge of his nose.
Oh my god. He looked regal. He wore a plain white button down and navy fitted slacks. I can feel some of the guys eyeing me in the corner but I can't seem to tear mine away from Yeonjun. I was busy gawking at him to notice that the room had gone dead silent. The cheery atmosphere had immediately turned into awkward tension. Bangtan no longer had this playful aura in them.
Instead, it was replaced by judging eyes. Eyes that were now solely trained on the nervous idol in front of them.
"Oh? Hi! Come sit here, Yeonjun-ah." Namjoon oppa had quickly stepped in. He replaced his observing gaze with warm ones, silently assuring him that they wouldn't bite.
He calmly pat the space beside him on the couch, urging him to sit down.
I winced when I fully took in his nervous form. His ears and neck weren't discreet on hiding his nerves. They were so red. He was unconsciously playing with the hoop on his belt, eyes scanning everyone.
"Why are you here?" Tae oppa was the first one who threw in a question. He must have gotten impatient with Yeonjun's slow actions that he immediately started asking. I gulped nervously when his usually deep voice lowered even more. His phone long forgotten and his attention was now on the poor guy.
"I- I... uh," He cleared his throat, smoothly hiding how his voice wavered. "I wanted to check on Jiwon... uhm, if she was okay." My eyes softened. He had said this in a small voice. Now I felt like hugging him.
"So? Now you've seen her." The mini euphoria I felt quickly died down. I bit back my tongue so hard when Jimin oppa started with his snarky remarks. He often did this when he learns about some of the boys who blatantly made moves. His words intended to sound harsh to ward them off. But that was a long time ago. I was fifteen.
"You can g—" I quickly jumped up from my seat, stalling so he doesn't inflict more damage. "I want ice cream! Should I order mint choco?" I internally screamed when my voice sounded higher than normal. I just hope it didn't show on my face that I was panicking.
Everything was so awkward! The growing urge to jump off of the window was enticing me.
"Aish! Not that sad excuse of a flavor, Jiwon! Mincho is disgusting! Get vanilla instead." I almost squealed when I successfully diverted the topic. Both Jin and Joonie oppa made a disgusted face. The two of them glaring at my brother when he also voiced out his undying love for the said flavor.
"What do you guys want then?" I urged them to talk more.
"Choco."
