See You Again || CHONI

Chapter 1

Toni's pov:

It's been two years since Cheryl left Riverdale. I'm now a depressed and lonely seventeen year old. Not much has happened in the past two years. Prom is only two months from now and my best friend Fangs has been bothering me about getting a date. I haven't dated anyone since Cheryl. I don't think I could. We lost contact about four months after she left. Of course I could look on instagram but I'm way to scared to see how good she's doing without me.

I'm in my trailer watching cartoons because why not, when I heard a knock on the door. I groaned and got up to answer it. When I opened the door I saw a smiley Jughead and Betty.

"Ugh what do you two want?"

I walked back to the couch, them walking in right behind me.

"We wanted to see how you were doing" Betty asked me while taking a seat on the armchair by the couch.

"I'm fine I guess" I said emotionless.

"Hey tones, are these cheese sticks good?" Jug asked as he raided my fridge.

"Uh I don't know, maybe"

He shrugged and took one anyway. Jughead, Betty, Sweet Pea, and Fangs are really my only friends. When Cheryl left I stopped talking to anyone. Or stopped talking in general which made other people stop trying to talk to me. Except those four, they never gave up on me and I love them for that.

We were just chilling, talking about random things when I got a notification on my phone. I picked it up and when I saw what it was I was shocked.

I didn't know how to react so I did nothing and decided to check it out later.

"Hey do you guys want to go the beach?" Betty suggested.

"The beach?" I said quietly.

"Yeah I mean, it's like 90° outside" she responded.

"I guess, jug?"

"Yeah let's do it"

Jug and Betty left to get ready and invite Sweet Pea, Fangs, Veronica, and Archie. I wasn't exactly close with V and Archie but we were friends. I went to my room to get ready as well.

I went to my closet and picked out a black crop top matched with blue denim shorts and a red flannel to go over my bathing suit. I bent down to the bottom of the closet where my shoes are and picked out the first pair I saw. I went to the bathroom and started doing my hair. I decided to do a high ponytail with the natural curls.

I grabbed my bag and packed some sunscreen, sunglasses, phone charger, towels, and a small blanket in case I get cold. Veronica and Archie were bringing the snacks so I didn't worry about that. I looked around my room to double check I had everything. When my eyes landed on my night stand, I came face to face with the picture I had of Cheryl and I. Looking at it made me tear up a little but I shook it off and walked out and to my car.

"We have pizza!" Veronica yelled when her and arch arrived at the beach.
