Chapter 2

From Cheryl's perspective of the last chap

Cheryl's pov:

"I'm so excited and nervous" I said to Melanie.

Melanie and I had an instant connection when I first moved here. Her, Katelyn, and Conner immediately helped me out when I didn't have anyone here for me and I will never forget them.

"Well that makes you nervcited" she smiled.

"Oh my gosh" I laughed at her and her weird word inventions.

We were on our way to Conner's house to have my 'going away party' and I was kinda sad. Of course I was so happy and excited to see everyone back home again, but these guys have made me feel so welcomed and loved here. I don't know how I could ever repay them for everything they've done for me.

We got to Conner's and Katelyn was already there. She ran up to me and hugged me the tightest she could.

"I'm gonna miss you so much" she whispered.

"Me too Katie"

"Okay come on. We're going to have the best sleepover before you leave tonight" she said as she pulled out of the hug and tugged me to the living room.

We were in the living room watching 'friends'. It was about 7:30pm and I had to leave for the airport at 9:00pm. We have had a pretty fun day so far. I was on Insta, just scrolling through and liking random posts. I went through my suggested when I came across a name that stuck out to me.

I knew exactly who it was so obviously I immediately clicked follow. She had her account on private so I knew it would take her a while to accept it. I still love her even if we haven't talked in years, I can't wait to see her again. I just hope she hasn't moved on.

It was soon time for me to leave. There were a lot of tears and hugs but they were happy I was going back to my hometown. My mom and I drove to the airport and boarded our flight. It felt so weird, knowing I was going back home. I almost couldn't believe it.

We've been on the plain for about two hours when I got bored once again. I opened my phone to see I had a notification.

I didn't think she'd actually accept it. I was looking through her account and it looks like she doesn't post very often. When she does it's either nature pictures or pictures of 'Hot Dog' and the boys. I decided to try to get some sleep because we still had about four more hours left on this flight.

Right when I was about to fall asleep, I got another notification. Usually I would ignore it but I was really getting my hopes up with Toni. I'm glad I did open it because it was about Toni.

TTopaz posted for the first time in a while

I immediately clicked on the picture and what I saw made my eyes water. There were pictures of my old friends but the last picture really got me. She was so beautiful. She definitely matured from what she looked like as a freshman. I definitely missed that smile. I decided to let out the news of me coming back home by posting a photo on the plane.

After a while, I saw the comments and it made me so happy. I'm so glad their happy I'm coming back.

"Okay, take that stuff up to your room and the moving van should be here tomorrow with the rest of it" my mom said when we walked into our new house. It wasn't Thisle House, but it was okay.

"We're ordering in from Pop's what do you want hunny?"

I sighed a little. I was really tired.

"Just a burger and a strawberry milkshake please"

"Of course go get settled in"

"K"

I started walking up the stairs, still looking around. I already know which room is mine because when my mom and I were looking at the house, we had already picked out the bedroom situation.

I walked in and dug through one of my three suitcases for my bedsheets, blankets, and the three pillows that would fit in there. After setting up my bed, I layed down and got out my laptop to watch Netflix. My mom came in about fifteen minutes later to hand me my food.

"Don't stay up too late you look very tired" she said while kissing my forehead.

"Okay goodnight"

"Goodnight sweetie"

I sighed before going back to netflix and eating. Thank God tomorrow is Sunday.
