See You Again || CHONI

Chapter 3

Toni's pov:

This next morning I was feeling very energetic. I don't know if it was because I actually went out of the house other then school, or if it's because Cheryl is coming back. I got out of bed and went to my closet to get out some workout clothes. I felt like going on a run today.

After getting ready, I played my playlist through my earbuds and left. I've been running for awhile and I felt like I needed a break. I started walking and appreciating how beautiful nature was in spring. I loved how gorgeous the flowers are when they finally start blooming, I wish I brought my camera.

I walked until I saw a big moving truck. My feet suddenly came to a stop when I saw a redheded girl grabbing boxes from the truck. I didn't know what to do or if I should get her attention. I was like a deer in headlights. Then she looked up at me.

She looked just as speechless and surprised as I did. It was just a staring contest until she spoke up.

"T-toni?"

Hearing her say my name triggered something in me, causing me to sprint off in the opposite direction. I ran as fast as I could, not bothering to look back. I ran all the way to my trailer. When the door was closed I collapsed on the ground sobbing. I didn't know what to do or why I even ran away.

After a while of crying I decided to hop into the shower because I was covered in sweat. After my shower I was on the couch watching TV when I got a notification.

CherryBlossom:
Why did you run away?

I didn't know how to respond to her. Do I even respond?

After some thinking I thought I'd be best to respond.

TTopaz:
I didn't know what to say.

She responded almost immediately.

CherryBlossom:
So you run?

TTopaz:
I guess running is easier then facing my fears.

CherryBlossom:
I get that..

TTopaz:
So...your back.

CherryBlossom:
Yep I'm back

TTopaz:
Cool.

CherryBlossom:
Do you, maybe wanna go to pops with me?

I had to think again and... I think I want to.

TTopaz:
Sure :)

CherryBlossom:
Cool. Twenty minutes?

TTopaz:
Yeah

CherryBlossom:
Then I guess I'll see you there ;)

TTopaz:
Yes you will.

hy so I have to be so awkward?

I got up to get ready, feeling pretty excited. I went with a pretty simple outfit. Black band t-shirt with a grey plaid skirt and boots. I kept my hair down leaving the natural waves. I took a deep breath before heading out the door.

Cheryl's pov:

I wasn't expecting her to say yes and to be honest I was actually surprised. I had to get ready as fast as I could because I usually take at least two hours. I didn't want to go TOO all out but I also wanted to impress her. I got ready in only fifteen minutes which, for me, was a new record. I walked out the door after telling my mother I was leaving. I hopped in my red convertible that I just got back today and left.

When I pulled into Pop's parking lot, I instantly recognized the motorcycle I parked next to. It was Toni's. I started getting nervous all over again but I can't chicken out now. I got out of my car and when I did, I saw the beauty herself sitting in a booth by the window on her phone. I smiled a little and walked up to the door.

The bell rang and all eyes were in me. There were whispered and shocked looks looking my way but I couldn't care less. All I cared about was her. She was also looking at me as I strutted my way towards her table and sat in front of her.

"Hey" I smiled at her.

"H-hi" she said nervously.

"Unm, I really missed you" I didn't know what else to say. I haven't seen her in two years and this was awkward.

"Me too Cher"

Her calling me that made me smile a whole lot more.

"You look great" she said to me, fiddling with her hands on top of the table.

"Thank you TT, so do you"

She looked down to hide her blush I'm assuming. I reached across the table to take her smaller hand in mine. She looked up and at our hands before smiling up at me and intertwining our fingers together making me fall in love with her all over again.
