Chapter 44: Tricked

I ran. I felt as if people were watching me, waiting for me to turn around and not head to the hospital. The hospital was so far from Fred's Lobster, it took me thirty minutes of continuous running to get there.

Once I arrived at the parking lot, everything looked fine. A few people were there, minding their own business. I was going to call Ray and Henry, ask them what they had found but I didn't push my luck.

I walked to the door and pushed, despite people's gazes and whispers. " That's Tigress!" I heard a kid say. I walked through the door and went straight to the receptionist.

"Is everything okay here?" Her head turned slowly to my direction and her blue grey eyes didn't show me any emotion.

"Yes Tigress, there is. On the fourth floor." She spoke in a very weird manner and when I looked into her eyes her pupils were dilated. She had been hypnotized plus she did not answer my question. The tiger warrior must be close. I expected his back to heal in a month so what was this? I immediately turned to my watch to call Ray. He didn't answer. I was about to call Henry but then I smelt it.

I could smell the mischief from all the way down here; a fox. Daniel was here. He wanted me to find him. I cracked my neck, stretching before following the scent. I had to be ready for any ambush. He was on the floor the receptionist told me, the fourth floor. Once I reached the floor, I knew exactly which hospital room he was in. The one at the end of the hall. I carefully entered it.

I could smell him but I couldn't pinpoint where he was. I opened a medicine cabinet and that's when I got sprayed by some type of gas. It smelled like fox urine and other stuff. I scrunched my nose at the smell.

I started to feel dizzy. I tried to stand up straight but I ended up hitting the cabinet as I staggered around. Sleep was soon calling me as my headache grew worse. I had to call Henry.  I pressed a button on the watch that was purple. I could call two people with it, Captain Man and Kid Danger. I called Henry. He wouldn't pick up. I then called Ray. He didn't pick up either.

Despite my attempts to stand, I crashed into a hospital bed. Four huge goons arrived, most likely Emaku's. I tried my best to stand but I couldn't. My legs felt like jelly. Things were now spinning.

One of the goons tied me to the hospital bed with chains. How was I supposed to get out of these? My legs on the floor now looked like they were three or four. Daniel came into view.

"Oh, sweetheart. I really thought we could be something. I did like you. But now I'm being told that you kissed Hart." He said with sadness, like it mattered to him. " He then faced me with amber eyes, " Where's the snake bracelet?"

"I don't know." I managed to say. He actually thought I was going to tell him. His facial expression changed to a somber one from the maniac one he had on.

"You know babe, if you could just tell me." He got closer and closer to me till I could feel his breath fanning my face. And because of the chains including one around my neck, I couldn't move." I wouldn't have to hurt you."

If I moved my head away, I was just going to kill myself with the metal pressing on my neck. Daniel was this close to kissing me. Who knows what effect he'd have on me? Who knows what magic he'd put into the kiss? He'll might end up controlling me. I didn't think he knew his power well and I knew by now it must be hard controlling the fox. The fox was a maniac. Once his lips got close, my canines grew longer and I made sure they passed through his bottom lip. He growled, pulling away and I laughed.

"So you won't have to kiss your fans for some time now." I said as I tried to smile as I licked his blood off my teeth.

"I will be back for you. The tiger warrior will win." He said as he left me and I felt the drowsiness take the best of me.......
