I drummed my fingers on the table as I watched Jasper place tomato flavoured chips in the middle of the circular table that was in the center of the Man Cave. Everyone sat down on the couch that was shaped as a crescent. Everyone's expressions were serious for once and I was glad that everyone was taking this seriously.
We decided we need to put a plan in order until we could track Emaku down. Henry had not woken up after forty eight hours and we were all getting worried. Schwoz who disguised himself as a doctor from a private hospital went to check on Henry from time to time. Henry's parents were not buying our story that he just fainted when we were walking home and had not woken up since.
"Okay, we have all come here to discuss what we are going to do about one, the tiger warrior, two, Henry and three, the People of Swellview." Ray said and we all nodded. I took a potato chip and ate it. It was disgusting.
"Well as for the tiger warrior we are still hoping to find his location. There's nothing we can do about it now." I said.
"The gadget I'm working on will be ready in two weeks time." Schwoz said then looked at me guiltily," I took some of your blood to test it by the way." I rolled my eyes.
"No problem."
"Guys, I am getting worried about Henry. His mother keeps on checking in his room to see if he wakes up and I feel horrible about lying what happened to him. Even Piper is worried."Charlotte said and I continued to drum my fingers on the table.
"Daniel Lahey gave me a deadline for the deal which is today at seven p.m. Schwoz?"
"The vial should be ready by five today. If it doesn't work then...."
"I'll give him the snake bracelet."
"So, you're just going to give the bracelet away?" Jasper asked. I put my left arm on the table. I pulled up my long sleeved which I had worn due to the terrible cold weather outside. I showed them the snake bracelet imprinted on my skin.
"Yeah, I will. I'll do anything to save Henry or any one of you. I know I act like I don't care but we are family. You're the people who accepted me for who I was even though it wasn't from the start. You guys are better than my parents," I looked at Ray who looked at me with disbelief." Yes, you too Ray. So if I have to give up the bracelet, we will figure another way to get everything back." Everyone gave me a genuine smile besides Ray and I stuck out my tongue to him.
"Okay, about the people of Swellview, it won't be long till the mayor cannot ward them off for us. You saw how my interview went yesterday." Ray told us worriedly. I chuckled.
"You mean with the reporter who you went for two dates with then did not text her afterwards?" Everyone laughed.
"It's not funny. Stop laughing. I texted her yesterday."
"Hmmm I think you're too late then." We all laughed again except Ray who fumed.
"But back to business I heard Blaire Winters' mom saying that they were going to rally up parents to strike." Jasper said. I groaned. I hated that girl and her parents where no better.
" The Winters are filthy rich and horrible. I wanted to kill their daughter before and you all refused." I said as I shrugged. I was not going to kill her but somebody had to put her in her place.
"No one is killing no one," Ray said as he pointed at me," but we have to get rid of him fast. He has already killed eleven people....."
"Five died at the bridge? Why didn't no one tell me?" I said as I stood up quickly.
"And twenty one are in the hospital." Charlotte added.
"This is like the phone shark all over again." Ray said as he groaned and covered his face with both of his hands. I remembered Henry and Charlotte telling me the story of the phone shark, of how Charlotte was the main hero and that it was her who found him.
