Eugen Kazmith Tee

I am the hardest hard-headed of all time, Eugen. Mama told us stories of how cheeky I am when I was little. From almost eating dusts and dirts to playing with worms, I did it all. I remember doing it back then, though. Now that I've grown up, I discarded the worms, dusts and dirts and well, tried to play something else.

Bullseye—women.

Siguro ay minana sa Kuya? Hindi ko alam. He is only five years older so it's kind of okay for me to see him with girls sometimes. It's not like he's dating social climbers so I'm cool with it. But slowly, I think I got that kind of hobby, too. I am so having fun.

"Good morning," I greeted everyone in the dining table. As usual, I am late. Ate looks like an angel again today and Kuya Yuro looks like he's ready to beat me up again for delaying breakfast.

"Good morning your ass," bulong ng Kuya. I laughed when Mama didn't noticed it and he got away. Naks, improving.

"How are you all?" Papa asked us.

"Doing fine on my own," said Ate.

"Fine, same with my work," Kuya Yuro followed.

"Hehe."

"Hehe—hehematayin ako Eugen kung may kalokohan ka na naman," Mom glared at me. I chuckled and raised both of my hands up, pleading for my innocence. True, though. I don't have any troubles these past few weeks. I think I'm beginning to become a good boy.

"No, Ma. I'm behave these past few weeks," I said and smiled. Mom stopped glaring at me and put herself at ease. We started eating and talking about work, things and personal lives. We all tried to be cheerful for Ate Illust who's going through a heartache so breakfast is pretty fun as always.

"Dad, what's your opinion on me getting married?" I suddenly asked.

"As long as it's not involuntary and you love each other truly, it's fine. You can stand on your own now, son. All of you can now stand on your own. Kung tutuusin, iyon na lang ang hinihintay namin ng Mama niyo eh," Papa chuckled. I furrowed my eyebrows and nodded.

"Ikaw Ma?" I asked Mama.

"You are my youngest, Eugen. As much as I want to keep you here with us forever, hindi puwede dahil gusto ko na ng manugang at apo. Your Ate and Kuya are slow, very slow," Mama pouted. Papa chuckled and patted Mama's head. Their chemistry is seriously overflowing. They're in their forties already but they're still as sweet as ever. How I wish I can find someone like Mom.

"Bakit, pakakasal ka na ba?" Ate Illust's voice surfaced. I just don't want Ate to be sad, you know.

"Bakit Ate? Dapat ba ikaw muna?" I asked mischievously. I even wiggled my eyebrows that made my Ate chuckle. I felt like winning, she actually laughed voluntarily.

"If you want to marry, find someone who's true."

That's what she always says. Find someone who's true, she said. Because if there are no traces of lies within their heart and mind, then the intentions they have will also come clean with it. And it also applies to their love, trust, and affection.

We all laughed at her remark. True though, Mom. Hmm.

"Sup, Jem."

"Eugen, my man wazzup," he greeted back gleefully. We're currently inside a club to meet-up, chill and do some a bit of partying. I promised to be a good boy, alright? No knock-offs tonight, that's forbidden.
