Secretary

"Wake up, baby."

"It's still early, Zerxes Lock. Let me sleep."

I moved my right arm away from his waist and turned my back on him. I figured that he wants to leave now since he has to take care of his work. He's busy, I know.

"Come on," he whispered with his bedroom voice. He just woke up, too. Isn't he tired? I mean, it's only three hours of sleep, it's not enough! I need and want to sleep more, myself. Baka 'yan si Zerxes ay sanay na, tss.

He kissed my nape and wrapped his left arm on my waist. Napadilat ako nang puwersado at napabangon. I wrapped the comforter around me at hinila ito nang makatayo. Sumimangot nang mapatingin sa kasama ko na nakadamit na ngayon.

"It's okay, just don't stress yourself out too much. Love you po," I smiled sweetly at him and pouted for a kiss. He leaned towards me and kissed me before hugging me tight.

"Go ka na," I pushed him and he lazily let go of me. Paatras itong naglakad papalayo at kumaway pa sa'kin bago tumalikod. Even after he disappeared from my sight, my smile remained.

It's been almost 5 long years of journey with him. But his sweetness, love and care never faded. Masarap siya magmahal at masarap mahalin. I'm glad he became mine and I became his. There's no hint of regret inside me even after all these years.

I sipped on my coffee and smiled to myself.

I grabbed my phone on the countertop and called Kuya. I'm too tired to make excuses kapag sa department head ko pa ipinaalam. I'll just tell it to kuya directly, I believe he'll understand.

"Kuya kong pogi."

"Ang bola sa ball games ginagamit, Claize."

"Lol, kuya. I just want to tell you that I'll be absent for today. Napagod ako dahil sa...kagabi...kuya. Yes, from last night."
