Will smiles as he walks into the choir room. "A big congrats to all our prom nominees!" He says.

Finn, Brittany, Santana and Quinn are all prom nominees. The New Directions cheer for them.

"But, hey, listen up. We are all winners, because Principal Figgins asked New Directions to sing again this year! Come on!" Will says.

Everyone claps less enthusiastically.

"Fantastic." Angie says.

"All right. Brittany has an announcement." Will says as Brittany makes her way to the front of the room.

"Hello, my fellow Americans. The theme for this year's prom will be... 'Dinosaurs.'" Brittany announces.

"Sheer genius." Angie and Santana praise.

Brittany smiles gratefully. "Thanks. I was inspired by the new girl Joe, who reminds me of a cavewoman. The refreshments will be berries, meat and rainwater. As you are no doubt aware, the U.S. elections are riddled with corruption. Therefore, to keep the prom elections completely aboveboard, I have appointed Santana and Quinn to count the ballots." Brittany states.

"What? That makes no sense!" Rachel comments.

"Shut it, Richard Simmons. Yes, Quinn's my homegirl, but I don't trust her, and you know she doesn't trust me." Santana says.

"We'll keep each other honest." Quinn promises.

"You know, it's actually not a bad idea." Blaine comments.

"And last but not least, all hair gel has been banned from the prom." Brittany adds.

Blaine scoffs. "Right."

"I'm actually not joking. Hair gel was not invented until almost 30 million years after the Upper Paleolithic Stone Age. And frankly, I don't like the way you look. Therefore, anyone who shows up to prom wearing hair gel will be turned away at the door. I hereby decree this to be the best prom ever." Brittany finishes.

Will smiles. "Okay. Let's start thinking of... dinosaur songs."

Rachel's in the auditorium, singing Fergie's 'Big Girls Don't Cry,' when she's joined by Kurt and Blaine.

"Rehearsing for prom? 'Cause I love that song, but it's sort of a downer, don't you think?" Kurt asks.

"It's just how I'm feeling right now, okay? I don't want to watch Finn and Quinn get crowned the king and queen at my prom. I don't want to watch him dance with her. I-I know that she can't really dance anymore, but... I'm sorry. You know... you know what I mean." Rachel says.

"She's right. Prom sucks." Blaine agrees.

"Yeah. I don't want to go, either." Kurt reveals.

"Well, you have to go. You're the reigning prom queen." Blaine tells him.

"You have to crown the next one." Rachel adds.

"As much as I love a good coronation, I can't risk it. With this school's strong and insane tradition of write-in ballots, I could get elected prom queen again, all right? And I know I put on a brave face last year, but it was humiliating. And, had I known, I would have worn a full kilt, so..." Kurt explains.
