chapter 3

I look at my phone. 8am. Sam better thank me for this..

I get up and get ready. I put on some shorts, a crop tee, toms and a beanie and walk to sam's house. I knock on the door and his mom lets me in. I quietly run upstairs and open sam's door.

I jump on him and hug him screaming "HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYY"

Sam opens his eyes and looks at me like a dying hobo.

"what the fuck are you doing?"

I love his morning voice, it's so deep and cute, idk.

"get up babesss, it's your bday!"

"yea like I didn't know" he smiles and gets up.

"put on some pants and a shirt and let's gooo"

he grabs some shorts, his favorite shirt and a beanie, and we walk downstairs. his mom made him an amazing cake, we eat some of it and then leave.

we go to the park down the street. I sit on a bench and watch sam skate.

"sooo.. when should I give you your present ?"

just when he wants to answer, kian jumps on his back.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDYYYYY"

Sam laughs, "you nearly gave me a heart attack idiot, is that my birthday present?"

Kian smiles.

"sorry bro, but you won't get your present till dinner"

Sam makes a dorky sad face, "why do you do this to me kiki?!"

I laugh, "well you'll get mine at dinner too, just to torture you" I wink and kian laughs.

"soooo, lets skate?" kian says with his skateboard in his hands.

Kian and Sam go skate again and I just sit there looking at them, when my phone buzzes. it's Abby, my best friend. well, Sam's my soulmate ofcourse, but Abby is my second best friend.

I open my messages.

-Abby: heyy, how's Sam's birthday? I'm visiting family in Arizona so I won't be able to make it.. wish him a happy birthday for me? xx-

I smile. "SAAAMM! Happy birthday from Abby, she won't be able to make it"

he looks up and sighs.

"ohh.. well thank her from me?"

I immediately text her back.

-Sam says thanks, and they're skating so you didn't miss anything, haha xx-

-Abby: they? what crazy person wakes up at 9am for Sam ? haha xx-

-Kian haha x-

I smile and look at the skating again.

Kian comes up to me, " do you know how to skate?" he smiles at me.

"erm.. nope I suck"

"I don't believe you do, all pretty girls skate!"

I laugh and look him in the eyes, never realized how beautiful they are..

"Since when are you two so close?" Sam suddenly asks.

"Here, try it?" Kian asks to me, changing te subject.

"okayyyy"

I smile and grab the board. I skate a bit and then try a ramp.

"wow, natural talent!" kian says smiling.

I smile back and try the high one, but when I'm at the highest point, my ankle twists and I hit the ground.

I hear a shout and then everything turns black
