Elle's P.O.V.

Winter had been over for about six months, and we kinda want it back now. It's HOT. We've been on the road, going from house to house, never staying in one place for more than two days. Rick pointed out a small one story house. We knew the drill, clear it out, stay for a few hours, leave,  repeat. Daryl, Carl, Rick, and T helped clear the house. We all had guns up and slowly made our way further from eachother, going into different rooms. I heard a noise coming from a door down the hallway. A slowly crept down and bumped into Rick. He heard the noise as well.

He counted to three on his fingers before opening the door. "Almost shot you." I chuckled seeing Daryl with an owl. "Woulda been a shame if you're catching us dinner." We all met in what used to be the living room, and started setting our stuff down.

"I'm gonna see if I can catch any rabbits. A squirrel will do just fine, too." I announced.

"We just went hunting. What makes you think you're gonna catch something now?" Daryl asked. I shrugged.

"Animals move around. Just call out to me if we need to leave. I'll hear ya." I said opening the door. Rick walked over to see Carl opening dog food. He picked it up and threw it, startling everyone.

"I'll go with." Carl volunteered.

"Gotta learn how to hunt sometime, right?" I said. Rick nodded, giving permission for Carl to go. Lori glared at me, but I've gotten pretty good at ignoring it. It was easy. She's  pregnant, what is she gonna do? Kick my ass?

I walked into the woods, Carl following closely. Loudly as well. "Heel toe." I said.
"What?"

"Walk heel to toe. You walk  too loudly." I instructed. He followed the simple steps and began to walk quietly. I heard a noise and without thinking, threw my knife like it was a throwing knife. Bam. One rabbit. I walked over and picked it up.

"You gotta teach me how to do that!" Carl exclaimed. I walked over to him and handed him the knife. I took the hat off his head and put it on mine.

"Hold it by the tip of the blade. Bring your hand back like this, aim, and throw." I said. He did as he was told and just barely missed the tree trunk. "That was good. A little practice wont do any harm." After about 20 minutes, we went back to the house.

"You guys catch anything?" TDog asked as we entered.

"Elle caught 2 rabbits and 4 squirrels." Carl said.

"What about you?" Lori asked. Carl shook his head.

"I couldn't catch anything, but Elle taught me how to throw knives!" He smiled. I chuckled.

"He's pretty good too." I said tossing Daryl the bag of dead rodents.

"You taught my son how to throw knives?" Lori turned to me. I shrugged.

"What's the big deal?" I asked.

"That's dangerous! He could've gotten hurt!" She said, starting to raise her voice. I rolled my eyes.

"Its a knife, not a boomerang. The only way he could hurt himself by doing that, is if hes stupid and holds the knife to where it could actually cut the tip of your finger at most." I said turning towards her. Everyone started watching the argument unfold. "I'm not arguing with you here." I denied. She wants to argue? Fine. But I'm not doing it in front of everyone. She opened the door, gesturing for us to take it outside. Her thinking i wouldn't go through with it, was surprised when I confidently walked outside.
