Elle's eyes fluttered open, only to be blinded by the bright orange light of the rising sun. Not bothering to try to go back to sleep, she sat up in her sleeping bag. She yawned and lifted her arms to stretch, hearing all sorts of cracking and popping. She stumbled a bit as she stood up.
Elle put her hands in the pockets of her sweatpants, hugging her arms closer to her body to keep warm as she was walking out of the door. She made her way outside to watch the sun rise.
Now, sitting at one of the picnic tables, she let the early morning sun hit her face as she thought about calming thoughts. Calming thoughts? Her brothers' smiles, healthy smiles. Carl holding her hand because it made her feel less anxious, her and Ryder exchanging funny stories from before the turn, and then thinking about nothing and just enjoying the early morning weather.
"Glenn, what exactly is it you're so afraid of?" "Losing you."
Those words never left her mind. They constantly came back and haunted her. She remembers that night, she was lying in bed at the farm. It was the day that Hershel had to dig a single bullet fragment left and Rick, Daryl, TDog, and Shane held her down while she was awake. She had just finished eating dinner and Glenn brought up her close encounter with death.
Elle opened her eyes and sighed as her peaceful moment with herself had been ruined by intruding memories from the past. She rolled her eyes and stood up from her spot, making her way back inside.
"Watching the sun rise?" Carl asked as she walked through the door. She nodded. She walked over to her small corner and opened her bag. Pulling out a pair of jeans and a flannel, she realized she was out of clean shirts, again.
"Can I borrow a shirt?" She asked Carl. He nodded and started rummaging through the orange camping sack. Finding clothes for a kid his size and intended for the male gender was easier than it was for girls. He had a lot more clothes than she did. He tossed her a grey tshirt, and she thanked him.
She took off the tshirt she was currently wearing and she was standing in a sports bra. Carl quickly turned away, flustered by the so sudden action. This caused Elle to let out a small laugh. "Relax, Carl. It's just a bra." She pulled the grey shirt over her head. "It's not like it's holding anything." She mumbled under her breath.
"You decent yet?" Carl asked.
"Hold on." She said, making him stay facing away for a few more seconds as she changed from her sweatpants into a pair of jeans. She lifted her shirt up so she could see the tiny silver button on her pants. She pulled the button through the small loop and let go of the shirt, letting it fall over the waistband. She realized how skinny and malnourished she had become. Over the last few days, she ate little no food.

(Side note: Please, please do not starve yourself. Even if you want to lose weight, please don't stop eating. Not eating anything is more unhealthy than eating junk food, because when your eating junk food, at least your body is digesting sugars. When you eat nothing, your body has nothing to process, which can lead to you falling ill. If you want to lose weight, maybe go on a diet or make a workout plan, but please eat 3 meals a day. I myself am not a big lunch person, unless it's McDonald's because I have myself a nice 40 piece mcchicken, so at least eat snacks in the middle of the day so you can make it to dinner. Again, please do not starve yourself, your body needs food. Love you all <3 )

"Okay, you're good." Elle announced, letting the boy know he didn't have to turn away in fear of seeing something he shouldn't have.
