Elle woke up and slowly lifted her head. She turned to see Glenn spitting out blood. Merle was nowhere to be seen.

"You're awake." Glenn groaned. She nodded. "Your nose." He pointed out. Elle was now aware of the blood rubbing out of her face. It felt broken.

"Your face." She replied. She metal door screeched open and hit the wall with a huge bang.

"The girl's awake!" Merle cheered.

"You know my name." She muttered. Merle walked over to the two. Glenn held his head up to show he wasn't scared. Elle on the other hand, held her head down. She was scared. This man had a ten inch blade where his hand used to be. The hand HE cut off, himself! Merle grabbed her hair and forced her to pick up her head. He held his blade to her throat, making Glenn even more angry.

"Tell me where my brother is." Merle said calmly. Elle stared Glenn right in they eyes,

"Don't say anything." I growled. Merle only smiled at that. After a short moment of silence, Elle put her feet on the table and pushed her chair back. This caused Merle to fall, but his knife caught her cheek before she fell. The impact on her back was hard because she had no way of catching herself, as she was taped to the chair.

"Oh! Look! At! You!" Merle laughed. "Fine, you don't wanna tell me where you guys are holed up, so be it." He shrugged. He left the room, leaving Elle on the floor. The two could hear Maggie whimpering in the other room. She was terrified. No doubt.

"What the hell was that?" Glenn whispered to her. She ignored him while trying to get out of the duct tape "cuffs" that kept her trapped to the wooden chair. The door swung open, making that ear piercing screech as it did so. But there wasn't just a screech, there was growling. A walker. Elle kept struggling, so did Glenn.

"You know what they say: he'll he hungry again in an hour!" Merle laughed before leaving the room. Glenn stood up, still attached to the chair, and threw himself at the wall. He was trying to break the chair! The walker only got closer, so Elle bought him a few seconds, buy swinging a mattress frame with her foot to block them.

"Shit!" She yelled. Glenn finally got the chair to break and shoved the walker far away enough that he could pick up Elle's chair and cut the tape. He gave her a broken chair leg. They were on either side of the table. The walker had to choose. Of course it chose the teenage girl. She went to stab it, but it suddenly used its arms at the last second. Glenn was quick to jump over the table and help. He grabbed the back of the walkers shirt, and threw the body on the ground. Elle walked over and stomped on its head. Multiple times. She fell to the ground, out of breath and gasping for air. She was covered in blood and had a gnarly bruise on the side of her face and nose. Glenn helped her stand. They grabbed their new weapons and waited for someone to come in. They were ready. Sort of.

They were exhausted. And dirty. And covered in their own blood. The door opened, once again, making that terrible sound. This time, there was a man, a man they supposed was their leader. But he stood with Maggie. A shirtless Maggie. She was crying. "Put the weapons down." He said. They dropped their chair legs, knowing if they didn't, he would hurt Maggie. He would hurt Maggie even more. He pushed Maggie over to Glenn, and Glenn didn't hesitate to embrace her. She cried even more. Elle just stood in corner, trying to make sure she could still stand. The door shut and they were once again alone.

Maggie was now wearing Glenn's shirt, and Glenn was now shirtless. He continuously asked if she was okay and if the man did anything to her. She kept saying he didn't do anything. Glenn stood up from the wall they were laying against and walked over to the walkers lifeless body. The girls watched as he broke the walkers arm and took the bones. He snapped the bones in half so they would be sharp and he gave them to each of them. Maggie and Elle were only a little disgusted. They stood and waited for the men to come back and ask more questions. Maggie hid behind the door, in the shadows, so she could surprise them. Elle copied her. Sooner or later, the men did come back. Maggie and Elle came up behind the men and stabbed the with the bones and took their semi automatic weapons. They fired a few shots, killing more men.

"Put the guns down." Merle ordered. They didn't. He glared at them and pulled put a gun of his own. "Now, put the guns down." He said. The two gave up and dropped the guns. Merle walked over and picked them up before leaving again. As the door shut behind him, he locked it. They could hear him talking to the guards.

"Go get some sleep. Nobody needs to be on guard tonight." Merle said.

"But the Govern-" a man said. Merle stopped him.

"They're too weak. They'll be asleep soon. Go." Merle insisted. The three were alone. The silence was too loud. They could hear each others uneven breathing patterns.

"Get some sleep." Glenn told Elle. "We're gonna be here a while, and he's right; you're too weak." Glenn insisted. She layed her bruised head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes and let the darkness swallow her. Though, the sleep wasn't peaceful, it was barely sleep. She was more awake than she was asleep. It was like half her brain was shut down, but the other half was racing.

"Wake up. Someone's coming." Glenn shook the blonde awake. She opened her eyes and rubbed them. She could hear small shuffling outside and she could see someone's shadow under the door. Although, the shadow wasn't big enough to be any of the guards or Merle. The doors lock was quietly being picked. Elle grabbed one of the bones from earlier. The couple tried to stop her, but she didn't listen. She held the bone up, ready to use it. The door slowly opened to reveal a boy. The boy had blonde curls, just like Elle. He had freckles, just like Elle. But what really caught her attention, were the boys green eyes. That's when it hit her;

"Jack?"
