How could I ever say goodbye to you?
I know that it's inevitable,
But how can I ever let you go?
Losing you means losing me too.
I know we can't escape from reality,
But I'm not ready to lose you.
Nevertheless, I know that day will come,
And there's something you should know.
When we finally say goodbye,
I have to let you know,
How much I love you,
Always and forever.

That you were my very best friend,
And I believed we could've been more,
But I also have to let you know,
That I've learnt to love you from afar,
Because I'd rather hurt this way,
Than lose you completely.
I'd rather have this small piece of you,
Than demand for something more,
A love that we can't have,
For we were never meant to be.
So one day when we say goodbye,
I will finally tell you I love you,
But also accept the truth,
That you don't feel the same way,
And that's alright,
Because at least you know,
And I won't be left wondering,
If I never told you at all.
