I went on a journey,
To every place we've ever been.
I relived our broken memories,
And visited the pieces of our past.
On that journey,
I finally made peace with us.
I relived how it all started,
And how it all ended.
Funny how the stars saw it all,
That night we lied on the grass.
They're the ones guiding me now,
To all the places I tried to forget.
I can feel the trees relive us too,
Carried our memories inside its roots.
And when I came back it smiled,
It sings to me an old familiar song.
As everything became evidence of us,
I start to loosen my grip of you.
Now I'm finally ready to let go,
And write a new journey of my own.
