Chp 11

(POV change - Tsukishima) 

I held out my fist in front of me. Clenching it just made the pain worse. It was still sore from punching that wall. 

A soft knock tore my attention from my fist. "It's me, Tsukki." I sighed. I knew just from his voice that it was Yamaguchi. 

"Come in." I mumbled. He opened to door, holding something in a bag. "Let's go." He smiled brightly while holding the bag out in front of him. "I don't really feel like going anywhere, yams."

He fake pouted, and the bag fell beside him. "Tsukishima, you can't just avoid her just because you're scared. Tanaka won't tell us how she is. He burns himself out at practice. Even when we know he's at his limit, he just keeps pushing himself." 

"How is that my fault." I spat out. Yamaguchi rolled his eyes. "I didn't say it was. C'mon, let's just go." He flipped his body towards the door. 

"Yams I-." He shushed me by putting his finger over his lips. "A quick trip won't kill her." As soon his words escaped his mouth, the mood in the air tightened.

"I doubt she wants to see me. I mean, I wouldn't want to see me either if I did this. I played around too much with her. Now look where she is."

"Well, figure it out! We can't solve your complicated feelings for you. Things will become more clear if we go visit her." He smiled brightly.

I sighed as I felt myself giving into him. "Fine." I breathed out, changing shirts.

"You also better fix your stupid attitude when we get there." I shot him a glare, and he laughs. "Kageyama and Hinata are waiting outside. Meet us there." He waved goodbye even though I would see him in a second. 

"Hi." I said flatly as I walked out of my house. The 3 boys were there, and Hinata smiled brightly, looking up at me. 

"Let's go see Y/N!" Hinata shouted as he started to run. He caught Kageyama off guard, and he started to run as well. "You got a head start, not fair! You dumbass!" 

"I swear they share the same one brain cell." I muttered, and Yamaguchi laughed lightly.

Arriving at the hospital, the nurses were certain we were there to check in Kageyama and Hinata because they are breathing so hard and because Hinata was collapsed on the ground. 

Yamaguchi headed to the front desk to ask for more information on her, and he came back with guest passes for each of us. 

The mood in hospitals always felt so tight. There was death constantly surrounding me here, and I felt it all. 

"Don't be so nervous, Tsukishima." Yamaguchi whispered to me. I sighed, and we all stopped right in front of her door. 

"Ready, guys?" Hinata was first to enter. 

We all saw the pedals gruesomely decorating the hospital bed and the floor. 

"Y/N!" Hinata yelled, bringing his arms up into the air. "How've you been?" Yamaguchi asked as Kageyama and Hinata went to one side of her bed and Yams and I were on the other. Her face was pale, and the petals she just coughed laid on her bed.

"I've been better." She laughed, holding her stomach. "How's practice going?"

I was lost in thoughts until Yamaguchi nudged me very lightly. "Are you okay?" He whispered. 

I wasn't, but I couldn't say that now. It felt weird seeing her like this. Someone like me causes all this pain. Some say it's unfair to place all the blame onto one person's shoulders, but that's impossible not to do especially when you know you're the cause. 

I slowly nodded my head and returned my gaze to her. I felt frozen when I realized her shining eyes were already drawn to me. 

"Hi, Tsukishima." She breathed out. Her voice was so low, and I could hear the dryness in the throat.

Every time we passed each other in the hall, I'd always hear her voice. Sometimes it was quiet, but most of the time, it was loud. I got used to that loudness. I found myself expecting to hear her obnoxious laugh with her friend. I would pass by her classroom just to know if she in school that day. 

I did so many things without ever realizing that I was doing them for her. 

I breathed in. "Hi Y/N."

author here - i lied lmao. i am fixing them today as well. I'll probably finish fixing this story today:)
