Jeongguk was thrilled about this dinner. He was finally going to meet all of Taehyung's friends. But he was more excited to be meeting Jimin again. He wants to know about how Jimin is doing on land, and if he ever found that his heart is inviting.

They meet at one of the diners along the beach. Taehyung rubs his arm, looking away anxiously.

"My friends are, well-"

"Tae!"

"Loud."

Jeongguk smiles, waving at them. They pause look at each other and scream. 

"Tae! You got a boyfriend? What the fuck."

Taehyung stammered, turned around and glared at them. 

"No! I-" 

He's engulfed into an embrace that he can't escape from.

"Tae, you should have told us. We were going to tell you." 

They gestured to their plus ones in the back.

"You guys didn't." 

Taehyung looks at his friend and the guys behind him. 

"Seriously? When?"

Hoseok went first, "This is Jimin. He's literally helpless without me." 

Jimin blushed, hitting Hoseok on the shoulder. 

Minjae wasn't into relationships, or maybe he was just hiding one.

Seokjin went second. 

"I don't think we've met." 

He offers a hand out to Jeongguk who takes it politely. 

"I'm Jeongguk." 

Seokjin smiled.

"I'm Seokjin, and this is Yoongi." 

He turns over to the shorter man beside him. Jeongguk couldn't believe his ears.

"Yoongi? Is that you?" 

Yoongi gives Jeongguk a small smile, opening his arms up for Jeongguk to hug him.

Jeongguk runs into Yoongi's arms.

"I'm so happy, I didn't think I'd ever see you again. I never thought that I'd see you like this. Yoonie, I'm so happy." 

"Is this the human, your heart belonged to?"

Yoongi nods his head. 

"I found him again."

Jeongguk let's go, putting some distance between them. 

"You definitely need to tell me the story of how you two met, now."

"We'll get dinner next week then."

"Wait, you guys know each other?", Taehyung said, pulling Jeongguk back to his side. Yoongi saw what Taehyung did and smirked.

"Yeah!" 

Jeongguk turned to Taehyung. 

"He's someone who has taken care of me since I was a baby."

"He's like a childhood friend then?"

"Bestfriend! My bestfriend!"

Seokjin had a feeling he knew what Jeongguk and Yoongi were talking about. He steps up toward Jeongguk, holding his hands in his. 

"I won't hurt Yoongi as I did before. I won't do that to him anymore. Now that we have this second chance, we already made sure it's forever."

Jeongguk looked at Seokjin and to Yoongi who was standing there looking at Seokjin with his eyes full of affection. 

"I'll work hard. We will." 

Jeongguk nodded, that's all he needed to know. 

"Okay. Please take care of Yoongi. I really cherish him."

"Okay, now let's go eat." 

Everyone just stares at Taehyung rolling their eyes, with smiles on their faces. He wasn't being verbal about liking Jeongguk, but it was evident.

Jeongguk watched as everyone around the table interacted with each other like they've known each other for a long time. It was easy fitting in with Taehyung's friends, he only wishes that there wouldn't be an ending to this.

Taheyung saw him looking at his friends with a fond look on his face. 

"Are you enjoying it?", he whispered.

"Your friends are all so warm and welcoming. It makes me happy. I want to be with you all, for a long time."

"You're not going anywhere."

"You're right."

"No. I'm not letting you go anywhere. If there's a search warrant for you out there, I'm going to act like I didn't see it."

"Isn't that illegal?"

"Who cares?"
