Kim Taehyung is the son of a surf shop owner named 'Breaking Waves' that sells and rents surfboards to the public of Jeju's beaches. The shop also gives surf lessons ranging from children to adults.
Taehyung loves surfing. He loves the ocean spray that tickles his face on a hot summer day, the feeling of being weightless, and the feeling of being able to control the water at whim. Even in the winter, when the waters are cold, Taehyung continues to swim. Taehyung feels one with the ocean. The ocean is where Taehyung can be himself. The ocean is where he releases his frustrations and anger. The ocean is his second home.
Every single day when lessons are over, Taehyung rides the waves like it was his purpose in life.
He dreams of surfing at every known surfing spot in the world. He wants to ride the biggest wave that he's ever seen.
Taehyung surfs the tides with no problems, the ocean will never betray him.
The ocean knows all his secrets, his impediments and aspirations. To him, the sea is an old friend who never fails to greet him with open arms.
