Talon POV

Since that first night with Lily a week ago, I have been nervously holding onto the ring I wanted to use to propose to her. Liam, Zach, Margo and Catalina have been helping me set up for tonight. They had Lily out, having a spa day, while I paced in the living room with Jack, Amelia and Marley, who were helping me plan the night. We had set up the garden in fairy lights, a path of fake candles leading to the gazebo, a dress for dinner, and how I will give her the ring. "Talon. You need to chill. We all know she will say yes. We planned everything and she will love it all." Amelia says and pats my arm lightly. "I just want it to be perfect for her. Because she deserves it. I need to make it perfect for her. Are her parents here yet?" I ask her and she nods. "Her mom texted me when they landed, they should be here in a few minutes." Amelia tells me before the bell rings.

Jack goes to open the door, and walks back in with an older couple. The woman looked similar to Lily, they shared the same face shape, eye shape, and nose. But she got her fathers eyes, and hair. She was a perfect blend of them. "Amelia! Jack! Sweetie it's so good to see you! I knew you guys were studying abroad, but this place is beautiful! But it's like a fortress! They have guns!" Says Lily's mother as she hugs Amelia and Jack. "Actually, My cousin Talon has a friend here who is letting us stay for free here! They are a rich family who works for the government here. The guns were from body guards. Don't worry it is safe here. Lily should be home soon too!" Amelia smiles and leads them to the living room. "Anna, Tyler this is my cousin Talon. He is the one Lily told you about." Jack says and I stand up straighter. "Ma'am. Sir. It's a pleasure to finally meet you both." I say and hold out my hand. "Oh nonsense!" Says her mom Anna, before she pulls me into a hug. "Jenny and Alan told us what you do. And how you have fought to keep our baby safe." She says and I look up in shock. "We know you can't change what you do. And to be honest we were a little, a lot, skeptical and against it at first. But we trust Jenny and Alan. If they believe in you and tell us honestly that you love and protect our daughter then we believe in you too. But just know, I know how to use a gun, and I will not hesitate to castrate you if you hurt her." Says her father, which was less scary based on how he looks but put some fear in me. "Believe me sir. I would never hurt your daughter. I want to make her happy and protect her. I love Lily with all my heart, and I would lay my own life down if it meant keeping her safe." I tell them honestly and they nod. 

"So where is Lily anyway?" Asks her father as we all sit down, relaxing now that the hard part is over. "She is at the spa with my friends. She should be back in the next half hour or so." I say and cross my legs. "Lucky. I hear the french have some great spa's here." Anna laughs and I chuckle. I reach into my pocket and pull out the ring box and put it on the table. "I want to ask your daughter to marry me. But I was raised old fashioned, to ask her father for her hand in marriage. Do I have your blessing? If not, I am willing to wait until I do, because I love Lily and I want her as my wife to be with her until we are old and grey." I tell them and they look at me in awe. Anna pulls the box to them and opens it, letting out a loud gasp as her hand covers her mouth. The ring itself wasn't large or crazy, but it was special because it was inspired by disney princess's. The wedding ring was a crown, for me it meant she would be my queen, but would always be my princess as well, and I would treat her like royalty everyday for the rest of our lives. "It's beautiful Talon. Oh god... sorry.. sorry I don't mean to cry but its our baby. Our only child and to see this beautiful ring you got, it makes me happy to see the love you have for her." Anna says and sniffles while wiping her eyes as Tyler rubs her back. "As long as she is happy, we are happy. So yes you have my blessing. But my threat still stands." Tyler says and laughs while handing me back the ring.
